Emma Stone Is Really F-ing Excited To Be Nominated For An Academy Award

After the Academy Award nominations were announced this morning at the hour of too-goddamn-early o’clock, the publicists of the famous types whose names were called got to work releasing statements from said famous types about how happy they were and what an honor it is and bla bla bla. Julianne Moore said she was “over the moon” (Julianne NO! You’re better than over the moon!), Ethan Hawke thanked the Academy for recognizing him. And then there was Emma Stone. This is the first time the come-to-life Blythe doll has been nominated for an Academy Award (Best Supporting Actress for Birdman), and she’s really psyched. So psyched she dropped a whole mess of f-bombs:

“Well, this is surreal. I am completely knocked out. Thank you to the Academy for this incredible honor. I am very proud and lucky to be a part of Birdman and can’t believe it came to this. I am so fucking excited. Are you allowed to say fuck when you’re making a statement for the Oscars? I’m just really fucking excited.”

The only thing that could have made that statement any better is if she’d referred to the Academy as “you fuckers“.

And I really wish that instead of having her publicist type up an edited version of what she said, she’d released a video of her saying it, because how completely magical and charming would it have been to watch an out-of-breath Emma Stone freaking out and messing up her swear words while alternating between laughter and weeping? Exactly, the most charming.
