Scary Spice Leaves Her Husband Just A Day After He Denied Abusing Her
When Mel B went back to the X-Factor UK on Sunday, finale night, after missing one live show due to some kind of mystery illness, she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring and she had bruises and cuts on her arms. Before Sunday’s live show, Mel B’s sister, Danielle Brown, tweeted (and later deleted) out a dramatic plea to her sister’s American producer husband of 7 years Stephen Belafonte (no relation to Shari, thankfully). Danielle begged Stephen to tell her what’s going on with her sister, because her family didn’t know where Mel was. Danielle Brown threatened to EXPOSE Stephen Belafonte by releasing phone calls she recorded including one where he allegedly got verbally abusive. So the tabloids and people on Twitter did the math. They took Danielle Brown’s tweets, added that to the cuts and bruises on Mel B’s arms and guessed that Stephen Ike Turnered her. But Stephen’s sleazy Mr. Clean-looking ass denied it yesterday on Twitter.
Stephen was convicted of domestic abuse in 2003 after he beat the mother of his child and he’s an alleged duck killer, so it’s not like people pulled the beating rumors out of their assholes. Stephen said on Twitter that he’s disgusted over how people have accused a convicted lady beater of beating a lady.
Stephen didn’t say what exactly put Mel B in the hospital and she hasn’t said anything either. The Sun (via The Daily Mail) says that Mel B packed all of her shit, grabbed her 3 daughters and left her London house yesterday. Some source tells The Sun that before Mel B went to the hospital last week, she and Stephen had a huge fight. Stephen apparently didn’t visit her once during her 3 days in the hospital. The source also said that nobody who works on The X-Factor likes Stephen Belafonte and being around him is as pleasant as being around a sloth with chronic diarrhea.
“None of that means that he has ever laid a finger on Mel, but he is not an easy person to be with, that is obvious to see. It was a physical and emotional collapse. There was an emotional element to it, Mel has been under a lot of stress. He didn’t come to the show on Sunday as far as I am aware. He wasn’t in her dressing room. I don’t believe he visited her in hospital, either. Mel hasn’t spoken to Stephen once since her admission to hospital last week and as it stands she doesn’t want to see him. He didn’t come to the hospital at all. Everyone around her is encouraging her to stay strong and to leave him for good this time because they don’t believe their relationship is healthy. Things have been very rocky over the last few weeks…last week everything escalated and there were a number of big rows before Mel ended up in hospital.”
Something in the curds and whey* ain’t clean about this.
Well, here’s hoping that right after Scary Spice left her husband, she went back to the abandoned pub where the Spice Girls used to practice in their pre-fame years. As Scary Spice slowly paced in front of the pub, Sporty Spice showed up, then Ginger Spice, then Baby Spice and finally a helicopter landed and out came a bodyguard carrying Posh Spice. After they reunited, they got back on their old touring bus and come up with a plan to take down Stephen Belafonte. GIRL POWAH!
