Open Post: Hosted By An Adorable Puppy Friend Howling Along To “Let It Go”

November 30, 2014 / Posted by:

No, the whole “sing along to Frozen in the car and record it for YouTube” thing isn’t dead yet, and for once, I’m glad it isn’t. If it died, we wouldn’t have gotten this uplifting and soul-warming video of Oakley the Australian Shepard puppy howling along to it during a car ride. Oakley isn’t just howling to it, he’s giving theater and peterformance. He’s delivering a rainbow of raw feelings from bewilderment to curiosity. As soon as the song starts, Oakley’s ears perk up and his eyes open like mine do when I hear the Grindr message alert, and he begins unraveling layer after layer as he interprets that song. Billions (I’m underestimating) have performed “Let It Go,” but nobody has performed it the way Oakley performs it. Once you give him a dog treat for a performance well done, give him an EGOT! He deserves it.

Or maybe Oakley’s not performing at all? Maybe he’s howling in pain because he wants his human to stop playing that goddamn song.
