Open Post: Hosted By A Man With Alzheimer’s Sharing A Special Moment With A Dog

Today, I’ve posted about Goopy Paltrow and a steaming racist sack of wet shit, so I decided to post something that won’t give you the heaves. But it will give you severe dehydration since you’ll cry out all the liquid in your body. Lisa Abeyta’s father has Alzheimer’s and the disease has taken away his ability to form sentences and he doesn’t really talk. Lisa told Buzzfeed that one day her father came over to her house and from the moment her 3-year-old rescue dog Roscoe greeted him, he transformed and started talking to the dog. (Side note: If it was a cat, the cat probably would’ve hissed at him and went back to staring at the walls.)

Lisa wanted to remember the beautiful moment forever so she filmed it. Lisa wrote on her blog:

When my father and I arrived at my home yesterday to give my mom an hour to run some errands, our own family dog, Roscoe, greeted him at the door. For the next hour, my father petted and talked to Roscoe. Not wanting to lose the memory of the moment, I filmed a few moments of his interaction with our dog, amazed at the clarity of my father’s words.

This made me feel things yesterday when I watched it for the first time and it made me feel things AGAIN when I watched it a second time today. Whenever it feels like your heart has turned into a pile of burnt bitterness, just watch this video to feel again. You’ve really done it this time, Internet.
