FYI: Dakota Fanning's Rape Scene Went Well

When the shocking news that 12-year-old Dakota Fanning was going to film a rape scene for her movie Hounddog hit, director Deborah Kampmeier received so much hate mail that she had to hire an assistant to take care of it. The film is set to premiere at Sundance next year. Dakota plays a troubled girls in the 1960s South who finds a save haven in the music of Elvis. She stars with Jill Scott, Piper Laurie and Robin Wright Penn.
Deborah Kapmeier said that the pivotal scene went according to plan. She said that Dakota's "mother, her agent, and her teacher/child welfare worker were all present for the filming of the scene, which was carried out exactly as we discussed it."
Hey homegirl wants an Oscar and I guess that's how you play it. You either need to be some sort of victim or some sort of retard. She chose to go with the former.
Damn, They Work Fast

James Brown hasn't even been buried and a biopic of his life is already in the works. Spike Lee will direct a feature film based on his life for a 2008 release. A script was already in the works, but put on fastrack ever since his death. Spike Lee will do a rewrite of the current script. Before his death James met with the screenwriters and was an active part in the film.
Producer Brian Grazer said, "Like everybody, I was surprised and saddened that James Brown died. Having known him well, and after spending lots of time with him and researching his life, it's somehow not surprising that he died on Christmas Day. He was the ultimate showman, all the way to the end."
More importantly who is going to play James Brown? Probably someone boring like Jamie Foxx or Usher...but I'm thinking Fantasia. This could be the role of a lifetime for her! I mean she kind of looks like him!
The New Michael Myers

Tyler Mane will play the iconic Michael Myers in a remake of the original Halloween. Rob Zombie is writing and directing the remake. Malcolm McDowell has already been cast as Dr. Loomis.
Rob Zombie said, "I'm sure you all remember Tyler as Rufus from 'The Devil's Rejects,' Sabretooth in the 'X-Men' and the unstoppable Ajax in 'Troy. Tyler is mean, lean and ready to bring you the most psychotic Michael Myers yet."
Production begins shortly with a August 31, 2007 release.
This is going to suck so hard. I won't be surprised if it goes straight to Cinemax. I mean Rob Zombie can't make a horror movie to save his life. They should've cast Jacko as Michael Myers, he's way scarier and they'd save money on the mask!
I Don't Think You Care, But....

This is the first image of the Silver Surfer in the new Fanastic Four movie. Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer opens June 15th and stars Jessica Alba and a bunch of other people. The Silver Surfer is completely computer generated and voiced by Doug Jones. The first teaser trailer hits today. Yeah I know you've been waiting all your life for this, but it's a slow news day.
Type Casting

Posh Beckham may be playing herself in a new movie for Tom Cruise. Rumors are that Tom is currently talking to her about taking a role in The Thetan, a Scientology sci-fi tale.
Sources close to Posh said, "Victoria is really hoping to make a go of it in Hollywood. This could be the perfect start for her, with good pal Tom Cruise in."
Posh has previously said that she has no interest in returning to music or starring in films. She wants to focus on her fashion line. This may be the perfect vehicle for her.
She would play an alien princess of an alien leader called a thetan, which Scientologists claim is an immortal spiritual being, present in all humans.
Sounds like a loser to me. They might as well just make a documentary about her, because she's already an alien princess. Now send her ass back to Mars!
The Hostel II Poster Kind of Creeps Me Out

I know the poster for Hostel II was probably made with beef cutlets, but it still looks nasty. The second film doesn't hit theaters until June 2007.
PS - Commenters are mentioning it looks like Parasite's beef curtains. Actually, I think it's Blohan and Parasite bumping pork chops.
The REAL Star of "Dreamgirls"

Borat VS Frat Boys: Borat Wins

Two college, frat boys have lost at an attempt to get their scene removed from the film "Borat." In the movie the boys are depicted as booze guzzling idiots making racial and homophobic remarks. They claim the movie has ruined their reputation and they asked a court to demand the scene they appear in be removed.
They claim the movie's producers got them drunk and told them that the movie would not be shown in the United Stated. They sued last month.
Reuters reports:
The South Carolina college students lost again when Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Joseph Biderman ruled they had failed to show a reasonable probability of success on the merits of their case or that money damages alone would be insufficient to resolve their claims.Arguments on the latest motion focused mainly on the future DVD release of the hit movie, "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan."
The faux documentary, distributed by 20th Century Fox, has already grossed more than $120 million at the North American box office after six weeks in theaters.
The lawyer for the students, Olivier Taillieu, said last week that while the film's theatrical run is coming to a close, the perpetuity of the film on DVD posed ongoing problems for his clients, including harm to their ability to seek work.
Last month, Taillieu said the movie had cost one of the students a job at a major corporation and another a prestigious internship. The students were identified in court papers only as John Doe 1 and John Doe 2. A third student involved in the scene did not take part in the suit.
Score one for Borat! Since this movie has been released and has become such a success, the film's producers and production company has been plagued by lawsuits. Too little too late if you ask me. They should be happy, because this will probably be their biggest accomplishment in life. At least something exciting happened to them even though they will always be referred to as "those dunk fat asses from Borat."
It's Awards Season!

Golden Globe nominations will be presented by Scarlett Johansson, Matthew Perry and Jessica Biel on Thursday morning. This is sort of a preview to the way the Oscar nominations will play out. Several cities have already given out their pics for Best Picture and other categories.

Sorry, I care way too much about this stuff. From the looks of it, Helen Mirren is a lock for Best Actress. Like anybody else shouldn't even bother. She's winning everything and if Arby's gave a Best Actress award they would give it to her. I think Forest Whitaker is also pretty much locked. As for Best Picture, United 93?!!!! WTF!?
