The Teen Choice Awards always draws a perplexing crowd of adults and very few actual teens. And the adults these unseen teens have chosen this year only reaffirms the stereotype that teens make questionable choices. And judging from some of these blue carpet looks, it’s not just the teen’s choices we should be questioning. Taylor Swift was awarded the first ever Teen Choice Icon award, and possibly a cease and desist letter from Barbra Eden for stealing her look. What else can I say, one day she looks like Pollyanna, the next day she looks like a rich older lady sitting at a bar in The Forum at Caesar’s Palace working on her fourth whiskey sour and her third husband. For example, I’ve been silently protesting my local grocery store every since the bakery raised the price of cake slices by $0.30 (now I buy the whole cake, and I’m sure they can feel my dissent). But instead of showing up and smiling through gritted teeth while counting down the minutes, she decided to bail on the whole thing.

Last night at the Teen Choice Awards, Miley Cyrus was expected to take the stage to accept the Ultimate Choice Award which is reserved only for those most worthy of teen choosees. However, Miley pulled a last minute no-show to the shock and disappointment of thousands of teen choosers.
Naya Rivera And Others Channel Bygone Eras At Teen Choice Awards
The Teen Choice Awards were held last night and as usual, the fashion on display mirrored the tempestuous and confused mind of a teen and the questionable choices they are prone to make. Case in point: Naya Rivera, who is not Canadian, decided to wear a Canadian Tuxedo. A bold enough choice in and of itself, but Naya’s added some extra 90’s stank to the classic look with a belt that I bought at Miller’s Outpost my first year of Jr. High and some power shoulder poofs.
