Ridley Scott Defends “House Of Gucci” After The Gucci Family Slammed It

December 1, 2021 / Posted by:

The Gucci Family has not been down with House of Gucci since they saw the first on-set pictures featuring Lady Gaga and Adam Driver. But what really stuck in their craw was Al Pacino who plays Aldo Gucci. Patrizia Gucci (the granddaughter of Aldo Gucci and daughter of Paolo Gucci who is played by Jared Leto in the movie) said that her grandfather was very tall, blue eyes, elegant” while Al Pacino’s version of him is “fat, short, with sideburns, really ugly.” Is she saying short, fat people can’t be elegant? Is Jillian Michaels part of the Gucci family? Now that the movie is out, the Guccis are still pissed and they put out a statement dragging the movie calling it an “insult to the legacy on which the brand is built today.”

Ridley Scott Thought It Was Fantastic That Lady Gaga And Jared Leto Stayed In Character For The Entire Filming Of “House Of Gucci”

November 24, 2021 / Posted by:

By now, we’ve all heard the tales of Lady Gaga’s 18-month long method acting exercise to prepare for and play the role of Best Actress Oscar Winner Lady Gaga the character of Patrizia Reggiani in House of Gucci. Gaga says she stayed in character before and during filming, at all times, no matter what, in order to fully become the character of Patrizia. Her House of Gucci co-star Jared Leto is no stranger to the concept of method acting, as he too has been known to be the type of actor who falls into a role and refuses to drop character until the DVD commentary. If that sounds super annoying to you, then go ahead and pull up a chair next to Martin Freeman and have a nice chat about that. But when it comes to House of Gucci director Ridley Scott, he thought all that method acting was charming.

The Critical Consensus Is That “House of Gucci” Needed To Pick A Lane

November 23, 2021 / Posted by:

Ridley Scott Eats Own Hat might be a headline we see tomorrow after all those “apathetic millennialswho skipped The Last Duel turn around and flock to the theaters to see Lady Gaga go full Eyetalian in House of Gucci. According to Mashable, the critics are still torn about the film’s overall quality but everyone agrees that “Lady Gaga’s performance is something to behold,” the collective shade of which is the biggest gain we’ve had in combating global warming to date. That’s camp baby, that’s millennial catnip right there. Unmoisturized Matt Damon not so much. But most importantly, the consensus seems to be that the “outsized performances” in HOG make it, at the very least, “entertaining,” thus buying the Calderone glacier a little more time before it melts completely into the Adriatic sea.

The Gucci Family Is Upset After Seeing The Most Recent Pictures From The “The House Of Gucci” Set

April 16, 2021 / Posted by:

Lil’ rapper Lil’ Pump might want to consider re-releasing his song Gucci Gang in light of the news that a real live gang of Guccis is coming for the makers of the Gucci movie with knives out! We already learned that the real-life ex-wife of Maurizio Gucci (played by Adam Driver) Patrizia Reggiani (played by Lady Gaga) in Ridley Scott’s The House of Gucci, was none too pleased that Gaga didn’t come to meet her out of respect. Now Maurizio’s second cousin Patrizia Gucci has spoken out on behalf of the Gucci family to object to their beautiful Italian ancestors being played by Hollywood uggos. Specifically, Al Pacino who plays Aldo Gucci (Patrizia’s grandfather), and Jared Leto who plays Paolo Gucci (Patrizia’s dad). And considering they only have the same recent paparazzi shots that we do to judge by, who can blame them?

Sean Young Thinks Her Career Was Deliberately Sabotaged By A Bunch Of Directors

March 23, 2021 / Posted by:

Sean Young has the type of Wikipedia page that should begin with the words, “How much time do you have?“, because there is SO much to learn about her iconic and infamous career as an actress. There are also many stories about how Sean was a diva, a stalker, and an all-around mess. At the time, back in the pre-internet 90s, all those characterizations seemingly provided enough evidence for why the universe hit the brakes on her career. Even when Sean would offer her perspective, it was usually met with someone in high places who was able to discredit her by pointing to the stories about her being a diva.

Well, time has proven that some of the people who previously accused Sean of being a mess are actually the messes themselves. And thanks to the #MeToo movement helping to disprove the persistent Hollywood rumor of the “difficult” actress, Sean can finally get her side of the story out. Which is that, according to Sean, she probably would have had a longer, more legitimate career had it not been for a bunch of directors who sabotaged it.

Ben Affleck And Matt Damon Will Reunite To Play 14th Century Knights In A Movie

July 23, 2019 / Posted by:

After going through some personal life messiness over the past few years (proof of which now takes up permanent real estate on his back), it appears Ben Affleck has decided to take his life in a new direction. And apparently that direction is backwards, all the way to the late-90s and early-2000s. First Ben Affleck made up with his former friend and seven-time director Kevin Smith after a decade of not speaking. Now Deadline is reporting that Ben will do another movie with Matt Damon.
