Dakota Johnson Will Reportedly Star In A Marvel Movie As “Madame Web”
Forget for a second that “Madame Web” sounds like what you’d get if the 50 Shades of Gray franchise crossed over with the characters of Charlotte’s Web. But this isn’t what this is! Madame Web is a Marvel comic book character who first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #210, published in 1980, and she’s about to become a big-screen star with a film adaptation. And according to some well-placed sources, Madame Web herself will be played by none other than Dakota Johnson.
“Black Widow” Set A New Pandemic Box Office Record
Movie industry people were very excited to see how well Black Widow did at the box office this weekend. The newest Fast and the Furious movie, F9, had the biggest movie opening since 2019 and so industry folks were excited that despite the Coronavirus pandemic rocking our lives to Hell the last two years, people were still willing to sit in a room with each other for hours at a time. Because Black Widow came out on Disney+ the same day it was released in theaters, time would tell if the industry was really coming back or if people wanted to stay home and watch from their couch. The verdict is in: BOTH MAKE LOTS OF MONEY!

In an interview with Fatherly, mom-to-be Scarlett Johansson talked about how she’s hanging up her tight black suit and is moving on from playing Black Widow. I see that THEE Stephen Dorff’s comments about how she should be “embarrassed” to be a part of a trash movie like Black Widow got to ScarJo! Or she’s just really bored with making zillions of dollars to be in Marvel movies.
Anthony Mackie Really Isn’t Into People Thinking There’s A Gay Romance Between Sam And Bucky On “Falcon And The Winter Soldier”
Disney+’s latest superhero series, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, is a hit, which isn’t a surprise since nerds will devour up anything Marvel. And along with popularity comes fanfiction! But one of the show’s stars Anthony Mackie seems a bit peeved that people online have been suggesting that his character Sam Wilson AKA the Falcon is secretly in love with Bucky Barnes AKA the Winter Soldier, played by Sebastian Stan. The gay shippers are just wrong, okay! And Anthony is coming off as a little pissed that people don’t think two straight dudes can have a strong friendship and have twisted something as “pure and beautiful as homosexuality.” So if you scream “KISS! KISS!” every time these two are onscreen together, Anthony wants you to stop.
Marvel Has Revealed The First Look At Angelina Jolie In “Eternals”
After much talk and rumors about Eternals, people finally get to see the first teaser of it earlier today, courtesy of Marvel Studios. Sadly, if you want an HD buffet of Eternals muscles, you’ll have to hit up those old pics of Kumail Nanjiani. Because there’s not a whole lot to see here (it is a teaser, after all). But we do get a 1.5-second glimpse of Angelina Jolie in full superhero mode, complete with a magic sword. But why? She’s got razor-sharp cheekbones right there!
Marvel Says That Star-Lord Of The “Guardians of The Galaxy” Series Is Bisexual
It’s been a surprising month for unexpected Guardians of the Galaxy reveals. Just last week we learned that Amanda Seyfried turned down the role of Gamora in the GotG film series because she was sure it would flop. Now we’re learning that the character of Star-Lord, played in the GotG film series by Chris Pratt, has been revealed to be a member of the galaxy’s bisexual community. That might be it for big GotG reveals, because I don’t know how “Star-Lord is bi” can possibly be topped. Maybe Groot will get surprise married to a fake IKEA ficus in Las Vegas.
