Oh, It’s Just French Actress Corinne Masiero Stripping Out Of A Donkey Costume In Protest At The César Awards

March 14, 2021 / Posted by:

Leave it to the French to douse a COVID-19-related protest with massive amounts of dramatique glamour!

Many headlines about this story say that 57-year-old French actress Corinne Masiero did herself up like Eeyore eating Carrie (no, not in a bestiality kind of way) and got naked at the César Awards to protest the continued closure of movie theaters due to le coronavirus. So when I read that, I nearly slid into an anti-mask Facebook group to let the “Karens” there know that this French Karené is showing them how a tone-deaf protest is really done. But those headlines apparently got it wrong.  Corrine’s bloody ass stunt was to call out the French government’s response to helping artists who are out of work because of the pandemic. And she did it while wearing a pair of stunning tampon earrings that’ll make you say, “Who knew that Prince Charles sold jewelry on Etsy!” NSFW WARNING: There are protestin’ nipples and cooch after the cut.

A Digital Collage By The Artist Beeple Just Sold At Auction For $69 Million

March 11, 2021 / Posted by:

Christie’s is now the leading purveyor of high-end memes after an NTF for a Beeple sold for $69 million at auction. Now there’s a sentence that would have made zero sense 10 years ago. Hell, who am I kidding, it barely makes sense now. But it does clearly illustrate what an absolute scam the concept of money is (see also: fine art). This is a perfect example of one of the situations I often find myself in when trying to explain something I’ve written on Dlisted to my aunt who is in her 70s. Where do you begin? How do you explain a Beeple to a woman who still uses AOL?

People Are Not Impressed By Juergen Teller’s Latest Photos for W Magazine

February 26, 2021 / Posted by:

The memes are flying since W Magazine published its annual Best Performances issue featuring photographs taken by world-renowned photographer Juergen Teller, who, even though his aesthetic hasn’t really changed much since the 90s, has been getting roasted on Twitter for his crimes against glamour. But even though my arts education consists of one art history class taken at Laney Jr. College (B-, thank you very much. I know my columns), even I can tell that not just any asshole with an iPhone can be a great photographer. It takes a real visionary like Juergen to talk Robin Wright into squatting behind a tree in broad daylight. I mean, he did refuse to photograph Miley Cyrus so we know he has taste!

Rebecca Black Is Back To Say That “Friday” Almost Ruined Her Life

February 11, 2020 / Posted by:

Nine years ago, in 2011, the now 22-year-old Rebecca Black became an overnight internet star (?) by redefining “earworm” and creating a million memes (Did memes even exist then?) with her song Friday. Rebecca was only 13 years old then, and yesterday, she took a break from practicing for her audition for a local production of Chicago (that’s why she’s dressed like that, right?) to commemorate the 9th anniversary of Friday by telling everyone that it almost destroyed her life the same way it almost destroyed your nerves.

Madonna Cried Censorship When A Venue Shut Off The Lights After Her Show Ran Over Time

February 6, 2020 / Posted by:

You would think that as a woman who spent the past three decades thumbing her nose at convention by parading around in her underwear and rubbing her crotch all over sexy Jesus’, both real and imaginary, Madonna would know a thing or two about censorship. But surprisingly, she doesn’t seem to have a clue as to what the word means. The Hollywood Reporter says that at last night’s Madame X show at the London Palladium, Madonna’s set went past the 11:00PM curfew so the venue shut off the lights while she was still on stage. This sent Madonna flying into a rage, accusing the venue of CENSORSHIP and of trying to kill everybody by dropping an iron fire curtain on her head. However, the accompanying video she posted of the incident on Instagram is decidedly less dramatic.

A Gallery In France Is Falsely Claiming It Will Host A Britney Spears Solo Exhibition

January 14, 2020 / Posted by:

If Britney Spears didn’t have better things to do like squats with her hot boyfriend or enjoy the simple life at her neoclassical estate, I’d say she should sue the asses off of an art gallery in France who claim to be hosting Britney’s first solo art exhibition. However, according to the BBC, it’s simply not true! It seems the Sympa Gallery in Figeac, France is just having a laugh at Britney’s expense. And I won’t stand for it. Not since that Romanain influencer was falsely accused of faking her paintings has the art world been rocked by such slander and flagrant chicanery.
