Olivia Newton-John Has Died At 73

August 8, 2022 / Posted by:

This one hurts hard. The one and only Dame Olivia Newton-John died this morning at 73. The sad news was delivered by her husband John Easterling on Facebook:

Dame Olivia Newton-John (73) passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends. We ask that everyone please respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.

Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer. Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made in her memory to the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund (ONJFoundationFund.org).

Olivia is survived by her husband John Easterling; daughter Chloe Lattanzi; sister Sarah Newton-John; brother Toby Newton-John; nieces and nephews Tottie, Fiona and Brett Goldsmith; Emerson, Charlie, Zac, Jeremy, Randall, and Pierz Newton-John; Jude Newton-Stock, Layla Lee; Kira and Tasha Edelstein; and Brin and Valerie Hall.

A specific cause of death wasn’t given, but as John’s statement says, she battled breast cancer for decades. And in 2017, she said the breast cancer came back and had metastasized to the sacrum. We should say FUCK CANCER every day but today I’m really screaming it.

December 16, 2021 / Posted by:

Did you know that Love It Or List It isn’t real and that the families actually film versions of them loving it and listing it and then the producers pick which airs? Sorry, but I’ve got worse news. 70-year-old Hilary Farr stars on the show along with 56-year-old realtor David Visentin. Hilary reveals to People that she was diagnosed with breast cancer years ago and that an oncologist goofed up and put her life in danger. But the good news is that Hilary’s cancer is now in remission.

Kathy Griffin Says She’s Totally Cancer-Free After Getting Half Her Left Lung Removed

December 1, 2021 / Posted by:

Last night, Kathy Griffin went on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and shared some very happy news: she’s cancer-free! 61-year-old Kathy was diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer in August. The doctors immediately did surgery to remove Kathy’s tumor, but another scan revealed they missed some. So they went back in and removed half her left lung! Kathy seems to be doing okay, but an intubation tube fucked with her vocal cords, so she’s (temporarily) speaking with a high, breathy voice, which she describes as “Minnie Mouse meets Marilyn Monroe.” Move over ScarJo, there’s a new raspy-voiced sex symbol in town!

Sarah Jessica Parker Says She’s Not Ready To Publicly Mourn Willie Garson

September 23, 2021 / Posted by:

On Tuesday Willie Garson passed away from pancreatic cancer at the way-too-young age of 57. He left behind one son, 19-year-old Nathen Garson. Very sad. As always, a big fuck you to cancer. Since the news broke, many of Willie’s former Sex and the City and White Collar co-stars have taken to social media to share their sadness about his death. Sarah Jessica Parker has yet to post anything, but she did comment on Chris Noth’s post with, “Thank you dearest Chris. I’m not ready yet. Xxx”

Norm Macdonald Has Died At The Age Of 61

September 14, 2021 / Posted by:

This news is bound to feel like a massive punch in the stomach to a whole lot of people, myself included, as I literally just watched Dirty Work only a few weeks ago (don’t ask me how many times I’ve seen it, I’ve lost count). Variety is reporting that legendary comedian – a description that honestly feels too short and mildly disrespectful to his legacy – Norm Macdonald, has died of cancer at the age of 61. Variety says that Norm was diagnosed nine years ago, and kept his battle private to only close friends and family, which is why this news comes as a huge shock.
