Things That Should Be Illegal: Leaving Farrah Fawcett And Bea Arthur Out Of The In Memoriam Oscar Montage

March 8, 2010 / Posted by:

Farrah Fawcett and Bea Arthur were both left out of the In Memoriam Oscar montage last night. Should I call the police about this illegal activity or do you want to handle this? Or is the Fail Whale already on his way?!

Farrah and Bea are primarily known for being goddesses of TV, but they both have several films credits. Farrah was in Myra Breckinridge, Logan’s Run, Dr. T and the Women and Extremeties! You know you still stop in your tracks every time Extremeties comes on TV at 3 in the morning. As for Bea, I shouldn’t even have to explain why she should have been included. Whenever one has the chance to showcase Bea Arthur’s precious face on a giant screen, they should take it NO MATTER WHAT! It’s just common sense.

Radar asked the rep for the Oscars Leslie Unger what she had to say about snubbing the shiniest stars in heaven, and this was her answer: “It is highly unlikely that we forgot about Farrah Fawcett but we unfortunately don’t include everyone each year. There are many angles that are looked at as to who to include and unfortunately we don’t include everyone.”

Bruce Davis, the executive producer of the Oscars, added this: “It is the single most troubling element of the Oscar show every year. Because more people die each year than can possibly be included in that segment. You are dropping people who the public knows. It’s just not comfortable.

Leslie and Bruce will regret this dearly when their hair FAILS to flip and a piece of cheesecake FAILS to taste delicious.

Redmond O’Neal Fucked Up Again

January 5, 2010 / Posted by:

Ryan O’Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett’s son Redmond was arrested for the ten zillionth time on December 29th for violating probation while he was out on a 24-hour pass from court-ordered rehab. The LAPD didn’t give details on how he violated his probation, but they did say it was a “a drug-related offense.“Basically, the bad ginge got caught crack handed.

At a hearing today, the judge ordered Redmond to a 30-day jail rehab facility. Redmond had been receiving treatment at a different rehab facility since September. The judge wasn’t exactly farting sprinkles over Redmond’s fuck up.

The judge narrowed his beady eyes on Redmond, raised his fist and said, “It seems to me you haven’t got a clue as to what recovery means. It’s a lifetime commitment. It’s grinding, hard, painful work. You are going to stay somewhere at some point. Recovery isn’t a walk in the park, you have a responsibility to yourself to stay sober, not your family.

Radar reports that Redmond could get up to 6 years in the chokey for violating the terms of his probation. Redmond will have to show up in front of the same judge on February 2nd. And in a sad coincidence, February 2nd would’ve been Farrah’s 63rd birthday.

The Angels Speak About The Passing Of Farrah Fawcett

June 26, 2009 / Posted by:

You know how some of my friends paid tribute to Farrah Fawcett yesterday? They sent me pictures of themselves striking the “Charlie’s Angels pose” in their Jill Munroe wigs. Seriously, I got 5 e-mails like that. I guess everyone has a Jill wig. I have one, but sadly it’s at my mom’s house or I’d be rocking it all weekend. That is what Farrah would have wanted!

Farrah’s co-angels also paid tribute yesterday by speaking about her passing.

Kate Jackson: “I will miss Farrah every day. She was a selfless person who loved her family and friends with all her heart, and what a big heart it was. Farrah showed immense courage and grace throughout her illness and was an inspiration to those around her. When I think of Farrah, I will remember her kindness, her cutting, dry wit and, of course, her beautiful smile.

Jaclyn Smith: “Farrah had courage. she had strength, and she had faith. And now she has peace as she rests with the real angels.

Cheryl Ladd: “She was incredibly brave, and God will be welcoming her with open arms.

Finally, from Charlie: Though I did not know her well, Farrah left an indelible mark on me and the public during her one-year reign on Charlie’s Angels. She put up a gallant fight against her unforgiving disease and I send my deepest sympathy and prayers to her family and friends.”

Farrah Fawcett Has Passed Away

June 25, 2009 / Posted by:

After a long battle with cancer, Farrah Fawcett has passed away at the young age of 62. Ryan O’Neal and her good friend Alana Stewart were both at St. John’s Health Center in Los Angeles with Farrah when she died. While leaving the hospital, Alana told ET, “I just lost my best friend. Her death was very peaceful.”

Ryan released this statement: “After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away. Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world.”

Farrah is survived by her 24-year-old son Redmond.

We were all expecting this, but it still brings the sads. Farrah was a funny, talented, vibrant and beautiful lady! And she had good hair. She had really good hair.

May Farrah rest in peace…. And this is totally cliche, but it’s the only thing I can think of right now: Heaven gets another angel.

Farrah Fawcett And Ryan O’Neal Are Getting Married

June 22, 2009 / Posted by:

Ryan O’Neal and Farrah Fawcett have never been married! I always figured they got married at one point or another. But thanks to my amazing journalistic skills (aka a 3-second search on Wikipedia), I learned that even though they were together for a million years, they never made it legal. Ryan tells Barbara Walters that they have decided to get married after all these years.

Ryan says, “I’ve asked her to marry me, again, and she’s agreed. We will, as soon as she can, say yes. … Maybe we can just nod her head (Ed note: He’s joking…I think). I promise you, we will. … Absolutely.”

Ryan said that Farrah’s condition is getting worse and she’s fighting for her life. Farrah was diagnosed with cancer in 2006.

I’m giving Ryan a slight side-eye only because I’m not sure what his motives are. There’s something about his little eyes. That being said, if this is what Farrah truly wants, then she should do it. It’s still bittersweet.
