March 2nd was either only a month ago, or a lifetime ago. Either way, it was long enough ago that anything that was going on at the time has largely been forgotten. For example, remember when Chuck D fired Flavor Flav from Public Enemy after that Bernie Sanders rally debacle? Well, it doesn’t matter because the world is now in flames and also because APRIL FOOLS!!! Chuck D says it was all a month-long hoax to promote their new single. And now I have to add Chuck D to the list of Public Enemy members who need to learn when to pull out.
Flavor Flav Was Fired From Public Enemy After That Bernie Sanders Rally Snafu
I’m amazed Public Enemy didn’t fire Flavor Flav after Flavor Of Love. But it’s over now, the guy who seemed to barely have anything to do with Public Enemy is now out of Public Enemy. After Flav shit on Bernie Sanders and tried to stop a rally performance, founding member Chuck D gave a statement saying Flav had a year to get it together or he was out. Well, Chuck D changed his mind and decided 364 days was too long to see if Flav gets it together, because he dropped Flav a day later.

Politics can get messy. And nobody knows messy like new dad Flavor Flav, which is why you would think the two would get along like a dumpster on fire. But that is not the case, according to reports. Bernie Sanders, who, like Flavor, always looks as though he’s just missed a bus, is holding a rally in Los Angeles that is set to feature, among others, Public Enemy Radio.
Chuck D Responds to Flavor Flav’s Public Enemy Lawsuit
Chuck D has spoken out publicly about Flavor Flav and the lawsuit that was filed against him. Yesterday we learned that Flavor Flav was suing Public Enemy front man Chuck D, along with two of the band’s previous managers, for missing royalties and merchandising revenue. The suit also stated that he has never been given proper credit for his contributions to PE. The good news is that band is still together! The bad news is, Chuck may have changed his relationship status with Flav to “It’s complicated.”
Flavor Flav Is Suing Chuck D Over Public Enemy Money
Flavor Flav doesn’t get the credit he’s due for the success of Public Enemy. While outwardly he may appear to be a clownish, one-note hype man, in reality he did a lot of important work behind the scenes. I mean, did you ever hear about Public Enemy being late for anything? No, I didn’t think so. Public Enemy is well known to have been the most punctual rap group in history. Those clocks aren’t merely decorative, Flav runs a tight ship.
While this is conjecture on my part, Flavor Flav is 100% in agreement that he did not get his dues. That’s why, according to Variety, he’s suing Public Enemy front-man and co-founder Chuck D, as well as two of his former managers, for missing royalties and merchandising revenue.
