Channing Tatum Almost Didn’t Sign On For “Magic Mike 3” Because He Didn’t Want To Starve Himself Into Ripped Stripper Shape
There was almost a Sliding Doors-style twist of fate that could have resulted in the titular Magic Mike not being played for a third time by Channing Tatum. By that logic, there’s also a chance the third film in the Magic Mike series might have been forced to retool in a clumsy way and be re-titled something like Magic Mark (uh…it’s his cousin from Jacksonville, FL – don’t worry about it). Because Channing almost didn’t come back for the third film, Magic Mike’s Last Dance, currently in production. And it’s simply because he didn’t want to put in the work that it takes to look like one of Tampa’s finest thrusters.

Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum are the latest comedy duo in Hollywood, or something! The trailer for their new movie, The Lost City, is more hammy than what’s in Don Draper’s pants! Previously announced under the name, The Lost City of D, (cowards! Why change it?!), the movie follows Loretta Sage (Sandra), a romance novelist who spends most of her time alone and gets wrapped up in an eccentric billionaire’s (played by Daniel Radcliffe) scheme to find some ancient lost city which she wrote about in her newest book. Then, the hunky cover model, Alan (Channing), who represents her heroic male lead, “Dash,” comes to the jungle to save her and be a real hero! Of course on the journey, the two fall in love–duh. As the official synopsis puts it: “Thrust into an epic jungle adventure, the unlikely pair will need to work together to survive the elements and find the ancient treasure before it’s lost forever.”

Three months ago the Taliban took control of Kabul. U.S. forces withdrew from Afghanistan and there was a massive, panicked evacuation. As the rest of the world looked on in horror, Hollywood bigwig George Nolfi pointed at his TV and said, “There! That’s a movie!” He took this “original pitch” to Universal Pictures, and today Deadline is reporting that they officially bought it. Channing Tatum and Tom Hardy are attached to star. So far the project is untitled, but might I suggest “Too Soon”?

Us Weekly is officially reporting that Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum are officially dating. This official news comes two weeks after the now-official couple was first papped hanging off each other on a sexy NYC BMX bike ride, and mere days after Zoë and Karl Glusman’s divorce was finalized. A source claims Zoë and Channing have tons in common and connected while working on their upcoming film, Pussy Island, which I very much hope is about Aoshima Island, a Japanese fishing community ruled by kitty cats.

Back in January, mere days after Zoë filed for divorce from her husband of 18 months Karl Glusman, a Deuxmoi tip claimed that Zoe was dating an “a-list actor.” Rumors began circulating that Zoë and Channing were doing the old horizontal body roll. But they were quickly denied with a source saying “they’re working together on an upcoming project and it’s not true that they’re dating.” We now know that project was Zoë’s directorial debut, Pussy Island. And based on the pictures we see today, it’s probably a safe bet that they both got lei’d there.
