Pauly Shore Either Loved Or Hated That Jimmy Kimmel Made A Joke About Him At The Oscars

March 14, 2023 / Posted by:

There are two sides to every story, and sometimes there are even two sides to each side of every story. Such is the case with the cast of 1992’s Encino Man which starred first-time Oscar winner Brendan Fraser, first-time Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan and multiple Razzies winner Pauly Shore. According to Entertainment Weekly, Pauly, the winner of Worst New Star of the Year for Encino Manloved it” when Oscar host Jimmy Kimmel poked fun at him in his opening monologue. But according to Page Six, the winner of Worst New Star of the Decade for the 1990s reminded them that “human beings have feelings,” and his were apparently hurt when Jimmy suggested that “maybe it’s time to reboot Bio-Dome” a movie for which Pauly won Worst Actor of the Year.

Michelle Yeoh And Ke Huy Quan Made History At The SAG Awards

February 27, 2023 / Posted by:

The SAG Awards happened last night, and the only way to watch it was to watch it on Netflix’s YouTube Channel. Listen, it could’ve been worse. They could’ve shown it exclusively on TikTok and made the winners bust out TikTok dances or do TikTok challenges while accepting their trophy. Or Netflix could’ve turned the SAG Awards into a Squid Games-style challenge where nominees have to battle it out to the death for the trophy (that’s next year). But those who watched this year’s SAG Awards on Netflix’s YouTube Channel watched the cast of Everything Everywhere All at Once get their cardio in by picking up award after award. And one of EEAAO‘s stars, the legendary James Hong, showed us that at 94 years old, he’s still got IT by easily becoming the sparkling star of the night!

Cate Blanchett Calls For The End Of Televised Awards Shows While Accepting A Critics Choice Award On The CW…

January 16, 2023 / Posted by:

The Critics Choice Awards aired on The CW last night, and a not-so-surprising guest crashed that shit like, “Bitch, I’m STILL here.” I’m talking about COVID-19. Nominees Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, and Jamie Lee Curtis, as well as presenter Michelle Pfeiffer, had to sit the show out after testing positive for Coronavirus. COVID-19 didn’t fuck with Cate Blanchett, though. She showed up to last night’s ceremony, won Best Actress for her performance in Tár, and used some of her time on stage to praise all actresses in the business and also declared that we need to finally call the time of death on the “televised horse race” known as awards shows. And then Cate galloped away with her Critics Choice Award in hand to place it right next to her two Oscars, three BAFTAs, four Golden Globes, three SAG Awards, and many other horse race prizes.

Brendan Fraser Says He Will Not Attend The Golden Globes If He’s Nominated For “The Whale” Because Of The Former HFPA Member Who Groped Him

November 16, 2022 / Posted by:

In 2018, Brendan Fraser went public with his #MeToo story. He shared that, back in 2003, he was groped at a party by Philip Berk, the former president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. In 2021, Philip was expelled from HFPA after emailing an article to his fellow members that described Black Lives Matter as a “racist hate movement.” Creepy and racist? What a guy! Fast forward to now. Brendan is getting awards buzz for his performance in The Whale. In an interview with GQ for their Man of the Year cover story (he’s their Comeback of the Year), 53-year-old Brendan says that if he ends up getting nominated for a Golden Globe, he won’t go to the ceremony. He explains he has “more history” with HFPA than he has respect for HFPA, adding, “My mother didn’t raise a hypocrite.”

Brendan Fraser Got Emotional During A 6-Minute Standing Ovation At The Venice Film Festival Premiere Of “The Whale”

September 6, 2022 / Posted by:

Brendan Fraser stars in the new Darren Aronofsky film, The Whale, which is his first starring role since the 2013 direct-to-DVD Canadian action movie, Breakout. The film, based on a play by Samuel D. Hunter, is about a 600-pound man, played by Brendan ft. A Fat Suit, who struggles to reconnect with his teen daughter, played by Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink. It premiered over the weekend at the Venice Film Festival, and 53-year-old Brendan’s performance blew people away. At the end of the screening, Brendan received a 6-minute-long standing ovation. Oscah! OSCAHHH! And because Brendan is a Canadian Good Boy* (a la Keanu Reeves) who famously struggled before this long-awaited career comeback, he got all choked up during the applause.

*OK, he technically holds dual Canadian/American citizenship, but us Canucks still claim him!

Open Post: Hosted By Brendan Fraser Getting Emotional Over A Fan Telling Him Everyone Is Rooting For His Comeback

August 12, 2021 / Posted by:

Twenty years ago Brendan Fraser was hot leading man shit. But after accusing the former president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Philip Berk, of sexual assault, he felt blacklisted by the industry. That, plus a rough divorce, the death of his mother, and a battle with depression caused his career to take a nosedive.

Things began improving a  few years ago when Brendan got cast on TV shows like The Affair and Trust. Now he’s getting back into movies; he just finished filming Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale, and he was recently cast in the upcoming Martin Scorsese flick Killers of the Flower Moon, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro. The Internet is thrilled, cuz, in case ya didn’t know, TikTok is totally obsessed with Brendan’s comeback (they’re calling it a “Brenaissance”). Apparently, these kids love The Mummy! In a recent meet-and-greet with one such devotee, Brendan admitted he was nervous to shoot his big Scorsese movie. But his fan, LittleLottieCosplay, assured Brendan that everyone was rooting for him. This got Brendan all sorts of emotional, and after getting kinda choked up, he replied, “Shucks, ma’am”, and dipped his cowboy hat in gratitude.
