ABC Won’t Be Airing “A Very Backstreet Holiday” After New Nick Carter Rape Allegations Surface
Stop me if you’ve heard this one before (before…wow there must be an echo in here); but Nick Carter has been accused of rape. This time, an accuser named Shannon “Shay” Ruth has just come forward and alleged that Nick raped her on his tour bus back in 2001 when she was just 17 years old. ABC already has that other messy thing going on at the moment, so they quickly pulled an upcoming Backstreet Boys holiday special from their lineup.

Last night you may have experienced some stabbing pains in your stomach. Don’t worry, that freezer-burnt ground beef you ate was fine. It was just your inner child whooping it up inside your tummy. Cuz Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys released their new single, “Matches.” The title is an ode to Brit-Brit the Pyromaniac (this is a lazy reference to her gym burning down, yuk yuk yuk). “Matches” is included on the recent deluxe edition re-release of Britney’s latest album Glory, which came out way back in 2016. It’s the second Britney single released this month; last week we got “Swimming in the Stars”, which is… fine.
Elton John Hosted The iHeart Radio Living Room Concert For America Last Night
The iHeart Living Room Concert For America aired on Fox last night, and many famous yodelers sang from their houses, which are infinitely nicer than yours. But don’t worry, unlike Gal Gadot’s Concert For Attention Whores Who Need Attention, this concert benefited a good cause with proceeds from the sale of merchandise going to feeding the hungry and helping people fighting the coronavirus pandemic.
People Were Injured When A Structure Collapsed At A Backstreet Boys Concert
Things got scary when a structure collapsed at a Backstreet Boys concert in Oklahoma yesterday, dropping a metal awning on concert-goers. At least 14 people were injured, according to ET. No deaths or serious injuries were reported. There’s probably a lame joke here about Backstreet Boy Howie Donough’s gas blowing down the pavilion but a total of 10 ambulances reportedly showed up so we’ll put a pin in such a childish supposition for now.

Backstreet’s Back, alright! Only they can’t say that because they already used it. So, Backstreet’s Here Again, OK! Backstreet Boys have debuted a new video and single for “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” which, again, has already been used (and better by Elton John and Kiki Dee). BSB are really setting themselves for failure here because now, I can only think about “Everybody: Backstreet’s Back” (they will never have a better song) and Elton John (they will never have better hats). But try they must, and try they did.
Here’s the first BSB song since 2013’s “We Were All Available”. Scratch that, it was called “What You’re Made Of”.
I wonder if there was any discussion of middle-aged men continuing to refer to themselves as boys? Wouldn’t Backstreet Bros or Backstreet Buds be more appropriate at this juncture in their career? This video is, well it’s not good. It’s almost as lazy as their Spice Girls lip sync. All I see are hands, hats, holograms and halogens. In one part it looks like they each have an Evil Dead hand they are trying to not get murdered by.
Kevin Richardson looks like Kid Rock’s non-evil twin who does a magic act at children’s birthday parties on the weekends after his PUA mixer. And AJ McLean looks like he’ll be replacing Dave Navarro AND Chris Núñez on the next season of Ink Master. There are also three others! I’ve already forgotten the song but I remember Kev and AJ. Congrats fellows, the hats worked!

…sort of! The Spice Girls have been teasing us for months about a reunion. Most reports insisted the reunion would involve singing, but Victoria Beckham insisted it wouldn’t to the joy of eardrums everywhere. The Backstreet Boys must have had enough of this back and forth because they took it upon themselves to don drag and do the damn reunion on behalf of the Spices.
