O.J. Simpson Did Not Get The Beat Down In Prison
There should be a picture of O.J. Simpson above, but wouldn't you rather see Marcia Clark with Nancy Grace hair and a bra full of revenge cleavage? Yes? Yes. Now on to the news that might be a lump of "damn." in your morning syringe of caffeine. That story about Orenthal James Simpson getting beat like a double murder charge by a gang of skinheads has been officially denied. Yup, that's where that "DAMN" comes in.
Officials at Nevada's Lovelock Correctional Center tell TMZ that O.J. never found himself in the middle of a prison yard ass whoopin'. O.J. didn't spend three weeks in the infirmary. O.J. isn't hiding under his cell bed out of fear that the skinheads are coming back for more.
Sources at the prison also tell TMZ that when correctional officers told him about The National Enquirer's story, O.J. laughed so hard that his hand shrunk and the glove fit! O.J. thought the story was really fucking hilarious. O.J. was then quoted as saying, "I haven't laughed this hard since October 3, 1995!!"*

i think it is true. of course a prison will deny it. they can't have the bad p.r. i totally believe it. prison is like a secret world/society and its kinda like what happens in the pen stays in the pen. no, haven't been to pen, but have known people who have, several, and stuff is kept under wraps all the time. jmo. btw, i remember when the oj thing was going on i was obsessed with it. i even believed he was innocent for awhile( i am caucasian) i must have bought every damn oj book that came out during that time. i knew he was gonna skate when that mark fuhrman tape came out. oj beating the charges kind of made some african americans proud because they have seen too many of their loved ones wrongly incarcarated and beaten by police, evidence planted, etc. jmo.

The prosecution did screw up. Yeah, they had enough evidence to convict OJ, but they still weren't very professional throughout the trial. For example, Marcia Clark and Johnny Cochrane were flirting throughout the trial. Whenever they'd approach the bench, he'd ask her what kind of underwear she had on, etc. She was so focused on other things that she missed doing a perfect job on the case, and with OJ's team and celebrity, the prosecution really needed to be perfect.
Looks like she had a facelift, and too early. Those wrinkles look funky.
Also, I'm not sure what man would be attracted to that cleavage. Just sayin'.

The only thing during the OJ trial that made me go "Oh shit!" was the testimony of the guy who invented the dna test they used on the blood at the scene. He said it had an amount of preservative in it that doesn't occur in nature ever (we watched this trial shit at school). It had the amount of preservative that would be added to a blood sample taken from someone for later testing. Hmmmmm...Detective Latoya moment coming on:
OJ did that shit, but the LAPD got a little over zealous and planted some blood evidence, perhaps? Normally, they would have gotten away with it, but they were up against a $10 mil defense, so they got called out and seeds of doubt were planted. They didn't need to go there. They fucked up the case with that. Just a theory.

Criminal law and civil law are 2 different animals. The burdens of proofs are not the same.
In *civil court* (the place where one citizen takes another citizen if they have a beef with them) the plaintiff must prove you responsible "by a preponderance of the evidence." In other words, you must be just 51% wrong to be found responsible in civil court, whereas you must be 100% wrong to be found responsible in criminal court. In addition, in civil court the jury verdict does not have to be unanimous: the jury simply votes on who they believe is responsible, and if 7 out of the twelve jurors believe you are responsible, then you will have to pay.
The result of all of the above is that the standard of proof is lower in civil court than it is in criminal court. In criminal court, it is assumed that the defendent is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. But in civil court, it is not assumed that either party is "innocent", and the jury simply picks the person they think is more likely than the other to be responsible.
