They did so, yeah, but only after the song was a success on iTunes. I guess that it'd be worse if they tried to ignore Antoine when he came forward asking for his share. As it was, it was gracious enough and I'm willing to believe this was a benign overlook other than malice, but still, a crass overlook.
ED: Just to add that I don't think the Gregory Brothers aren't entitled to their share of the sales: after all, they remixed the song and even though Antoine became very much a cult figure after his original interview, the Auto-tuned version only helped him stay on the spotlight longer. I think this collaboration is ideal; I just wish it was done sooner and without Antoine having to ask for it.

Yah, pretty fucked up. The song was already a hit on iTunes this summer but the guys wouldn't include Antoine. He then went public saying that while they profited off of him he and his family were still living in the projects.
