I was a fat ugly kid. when I hit 18 I leaned out and my looks kicked in. It's always the dorky ugly kids who grow into themselfs and the ones who are cute either get ugly or flatline.

happened to me. mean girls used to throw things at me in class, I was sooo ugly. but after 18, I turned out kind of cute, and haven't had to dodge any erasers since. so that went well.

lol Banana Jesus! Isn't it funny how the people who wouldn't even speak to you in school now claim you as a "friend" on facebook? Around the time of my divorce I had a class reunion posse track me down and send me 500 emails to invite me to facebook and their shindig. Well, I got sick of it (I was really cranky at that time), so I shot an email back to one of them that said, "I would rather have my head amputated than schmooze with you in cyberspace. And why are you inviting me to a party now, you who treated me like a social pariah back when you actually knew me? Sincerely, CIJ." Well, that stopped it.
Yup! And I'm not bitter, I accepted his friending, and eventually took down the voodoo shrine I had devoted to him, and I only call his wife a bitch two times out of the 100 times I stare at his photo page...

It's always better to be the ugly duckling in your childhood/teenage years because you end up becoming a somewhat good looking adult, as opposed to being cute in the early stages of your life and grow up to become a disproportionate, horrendous-looking mockery of your former self. That happens every time.

I was a super awkward, hardcore tomboy that wore my brother's hand-me-downs and over-sized shirts my mom purchased for me. I didn't actually "bloom" until I was 19-20 when I started to get in touch with my inner woman.
I feel I'm rather good looking now, as opposed to the chicks that were hawt in high school and now look like average to moderately ugly adults.

I came to that conclusion with a friend of mine who used to be the ugly fat girl in her high school class and now that she's in her late 20s nobody recognizes her. And she didn't get cosmetic procedure done.
