The Photoshop Awards: Vadge's New Dolce & Gabbana Ads
In a brand new set of Dolce & Gabbana ads, a nice Italian family gets a visit from a Photoshopped alien wearing a shellacked mask made out of the inner thigh skins of a dozen newborn babies. The ad campaign features many poignant and touching moments. Let's go over them, shall we:
Thumbnail #1: Vadge happily meets her next boy toy for the first time! The look on her next boy toy's face says it all.
Thumbnail #2: Vadge right before she sacrifices a couple of chickens for the Gods of Youth by chewing their heads off, slathering their fresh blood all over her face and then running in a circle while pounding at her cheeks (aka one of her nightly beauty rituals).
Thumbnail #3: Vadge toasting to the pair of toddler nalgas that were just inserted into her face.
Thumbnail #4: Vadge throwing shade at her former face (HOW RUDE!).
Absolut Madonna has a few more shots from the campaign and it's obvious that a new kind of Photoshop was invented for this shit.

Damn, I love Madge no matter what -- she's a fucking fierce bitch -- but I just wish she had opted to age gracefully. She would have looked even more badass with a couple of wrinkles.
In the 70's, the beauty standard for women was starvation. Before that it was passivity. I worked on this gig, we had to find "Italian looking people" for the pictures. Some of the street scouters had to go as far as checking on elderly homes because D&B wanted elderly people in the shoot. Try to convince Italian men in their 90's to pose for a picture is difficult enough (I'm not even mentioning the shitty pay), but when they were told it was to pose next to Vadge, it was even more complicated.

Bottom line: While these ads might generate publicity, they certainly don't make me want to buy Dolce and Gabbana--in fact, they make me NOT want to buy it. I can't imagine to whom these ads are targeted--aging wealthy Madonna fans?
All of these evident cosmetic surgeries and procedures are turning high-profilers into living caricatures of their former, younger, selves. The camera is actually becoming her enemy as she cannot control all the cell phones in the world which is fairly, fucking ironic.
People are -as always- exaggerating when it comes to Madonna. I think that she looks 'awful' in the face for most of them because they know how she looked when she was young(er) and thus they are able to see what work she had done and mock her for it.
If she was an unknown person they'd met on the streets and would get to know her age I believe that most of them would say 'Hey, she looks great for her age!' Maybe they would also be able to notice that she had work done but would most likely think that it was done well.

A great perspective on how she really looks without photoshop and working her angles for a camera she knows is there.
