I remember a durian tour in singapore and most westerners that joined the tour made faces when they had to eat it...
I got to eat durians every durian's season when I lived in Bali so it was great to get to eat the fruit again. My husband who is a michigander, threw up after the first bite and refused to kiss me after I ate the durians.

I don't believe Chris did his "hard labor" community service. I'm a bitch so I actually did a little searching the other day. Sept 16-17'ish last year was when he started and cameras were there the first 2 days.
After that - nothing. He had something like 1400 hours to do - at 40 hours a week, that would be 35 weeks. Yet supposedly he was only doing it Mon-Thur so even if he was doing it a full 8 hours those 4 days, it would take him over 40 weeks to complete.
But here is the thing, he has been photographed all over the fucking place since. At Laker's games, on vacations.
My theory is, and was when he was first sentenced because of the fact they were insistent he do his time in Virgina, he has connections to the sherriff's office in his little podunk town and after 2 days of camera ops for the paps, he spent the remaining time sitting around the sherriff's office shooting the shit with the guys, and probably got signed off as being completed after a few months of just laying low on Mon-Thur's.

That being said - getting denied entry like this was probably his biggest punishment for beating the crap out of a woman.

Also, he had famously said BEFORE the incident how he was against domestic violence because he grew up watching happen in his own home. He took anger management classes and claims he knows now it was wrong. So that means, before and after he knew it was wrong.

I refuse to believe he had a one time day in his life where he thought it was ok.
