So many people say they're not hurting anybody blah blah blah blah, but this shit bugs me first and foremost because they represent a blight upon the earth's resources. The world is overpopulated enough already. I do realize that the overwhelming majority of *Americans* are not having big families, and I come from a family of four kids, but 19 is just fucking over-the-top.

It annoys me secondly because after you have so many in a continuous sequence, they turn into some kind of cycling factory where the older ones are just taking care of the in-between ones.

And unless you're a 'third world' farmer, you're fucking crazy for having that many children.

I can't even imagine what it would be like if more people actively followed the idea that 'God' doesn't want us to use contraceptives. Maybe they should take it upon themselves to just quit fucking.

They aren't, one of the reasons the parents don't let them go to school is because they teach science and evolution. According to them there is no explanation to anything except GOD DOES EVERYTHING! I am 80% sure they don't even educate the girls since it is their belief that a woman is for having children.

The parents don't even take care of their kids they have a "buddy" system where the older children are paired with a younger one and it is THEIR job to take care of that kid.

It's just that most of us agree that kids aren't collectibles. You shouldn't have more than you can be a hands on, physically and emotionally present parent to. There's no way to give 19 kids the kind of attention they need. Do the parents really know their kids? Their personalities, quirks, hopes, fears??
