Okay, okay, Bea Arthur rolled around with Peta while she was alive, so I'm sure she co-signs this ad (I think). I just needed an excuse to use that GIF.
P.S. - Doesn't Peta know that there isn't any real chicken in a McNugget?

There is a HUGE difference between the Murray's chickens and Purdue. The breasts are smaller and paler and the flesh is firmer (and WAY tastier). I've had to buy Purdue a couple of times and that shit is gross if you get used to the good stuff.
ETA: For $ reasons, I prepare 95% of our meals at home. It's gotten so that I really don't enjoy restaurant meals anymore. The chicken at your average restaurant is that spongy gross cheap kind. Everything is WAY salty, too. I salt my cooking plenty, but every time I eat at a restaurant (or like when my sister brought meatballs from an Italian deli we grew up with), it's too salty for me to eat and I am thirsty for hours.
Mr. Hekki and I used to eat out a lot all the time, and in NYC we have plenty of good places to choose from. Now I'm just used to my own food, made exactly the way I like it. Even if we had the $$, I'd just buy better ingredients (European butter, heirloom tomatoes, artisanal cheeses) and make better meals at home, eating out only occasionally more.

PeTA is insane. There's a documentary about them and Ingrid Newkirk called "I Am Not An Animal" and it was pretty infuriating.
Anyway, I have "Food Inc." DVR'd and I am afraid to watch it. Already when I make a meal, I am so keyed up about it. Well, I couldn't afford organic potatoes this week (and conventional are so bad!) but maybe the organic blueberries' antioxidants will balance out the pesticide from the potatoes and at least the eggs are vegetarian fed, but shouldn't they be eating bugs and worms like they did in the olden days and isn't corn feed kind of bad? It's a minefield and I don't think it's healthy to be afraid of your food, either.

It is healthier to eat free range chickens. They are fed a better diet and not crammed in tiny little cages. They are also killed quickly without being strung up by thier feet and brutilized.

So true. Also a lack of stress makes tastier meat that's free of antibiotics and other crap. It's expensive but I'm achally tryna work my budget around buying ONLY from the Healthy Butcher. Just to put my mind at ease, if for no other reason.

see the seal slaughter in Canada. Our gvrmt allows the cruelest ways of killing massive amounts of animals. It is no surprise we have the most puppy mills in the world too. I got my cat from a city shelter and I'm all for animal rights but I like Popeye's and stingray leather too. PETA has also been endorsed by the giant Kardashian so I can't side with them.
I support PETA in principle, though I can't stand their tactics.
And I could never understand the mindset of a person who has no regard for how we treat animals.

There is NOTHING wrong with you, we as human species we are voyueristic and want to see the odd and strange.
Those are good you should check em out, theres one scene where its a delicacy to eat the monkey brain, but the monkey is still alive, and you have like mallets (everyone is given one) and you have to clobber it and then dissect it and eat the brain, I could never ever be there or see it or do it.
Thats only the tip, so you have an idea of what you will watch, there's part 2 also which wasnt as good.

The send spies out to farms and bust people for using soy seeds other than their genetically modified ones. It's pretty bad. Better to go to farmer's markets and eat seasonal foods if you can.

A FUCKING MEN, Food Inc., changed my life for the better, all the Peta videos and the other shit. Check out the movie with Greg Kinnear and the Mexicans. It was good but I didnt stop eating chicken. I was off of red meat for a while, every now and then I would urge so bad for a Peter Luger Porterhouse, now nothing after seeing this movie, its been almost 7 weeks w.out any type of meat, chicken or fish. I thought I would have a very hard time with chicken cutlets, but after what they show you, why the chicks get such big breasts is the corn forced fed...and they are in pens, and they are so big on top of little legs they cant even walk, its really sickening. Its like Racketeering, farmers are dirty motherfuckers, if you dont abide by what they say and do it the way they say, they will kill you or put you out of business and take your livelihood, it was insane, what goes on behind the scenes of just a farmer is crazy.
And all diseased cows mixed in with good cows to make chopmeat, which I will never ever touch again.
PETA is so desperate they are using dead people for advertisements. What the hell!

Yes, PETA brings ridicule on themselves by being hypocritical and ridiculous ( Killing of animals in NC and dumping their bodies and saying Obama shouldn't kill a fly ), but some of these comments are creepy, and scary. Animals feel pain, and indifference is one of biggest problems on this planet.

Most likely it was fed corn so its breasts would be "plump", had half the life span of a normal chicken, could not walk from the weight of its body and lived in feces and darkness until it was killed and then washed repeatedly in ammonia to get the bacteria out. Happy eating!

I dunno, I just remember this segment I saw on the news as a kid (looking back I don't know why they showed this on television) where they had hundreds of chickens hanging upside down moving through an assembly line and some woman had this tool that looked like hedge clippers just cutting their heads off one after another. Took her maybe 2 seconds to do each one.
They just keep getting shadier and shadier.
People need to stop donating to these idiots and donate to something like the Humane Society or ASPCA, you know orginazations that atually help animals. As far as I can see PETA spends all their donations on videos and ads, why aren't they opening shelters? Do they actually do anything for animals other than make animal lovers look like a bunch of psychotic freaks?

IF, I wouldn't. It's all about dead bodies of humans and animals. Still and videos of slaughter and murder and the results of accidents, falls, being hit by buses. You get the idea.
My favorite, the dad on safari who just has to take a picture of the sleeping lions and gets mauled to death in front of the wife and kids.
I usually can't stand PETA's manipulative tactics but I'm loving the side eye Bea is giving us in this ad. She knows you touch yourself down there at night, and boy does she disapprove.
