Mackenzie Phillips Debuts Her New Face
Mackenzie Phillips went on Good Morning America today to talk about how she now believes the incestuous relationship she had with her father John Phillips was anything but consensual. Mac went on to say that she learned this after speaking to hundreds of incest survivors around the world. Mac explained, "I do not believe he had malicious intent. I believe he was a man who was ravaged by drugs and alcohol."
Mackenzie also showed off her brand new look. She spent $50,000 on Botox, Restylane, laser treatment, hair extensions and dental work to reinvent herself. Mac said she isn't trying to erase anything, she just wants her inner peace to reflect on the outside.
You know, Mackenzie was probably just sick of being sad and crying all the time. Mac cried for weeeeeeeks on Celebrity Rehab. So she went into the plastic surgeon's office, asked for the Nicole Kidman special and they sealed up her tear ducts with Restylane. No more tears!
Personally, I think she should look better before, but she is giving me Katey Segal vibes in the "after" picture and I do have love in my heart for Peg Bundy.

I have known Mac for years and she should not be vilified for revaling the incest abuse. And she never blamed her father for her addiction but it didn't help that he shot her up at age 11.
Wow, when she's speaking in the video you can really see how much dental work she had done...looks so artificial: too white, too perfectly shaped/lined up.

Take some responsibility for your own shit..you're a drug addict because you chose to take drugs,and not because of alleged abuse you suffered from your father who happens to be conveniently dead! Part of recovery is taking responsibility for your actions! As a recovering addict I know what it takes to get healthy..and making appearances on TV just wont cut it ! You have to be willing to put in the work in order to really start to recover!

It's sad you feel that way. You shouldn't have to. I kinda think the disparaging remarks are directed soley at Mackenzie, not at incest victims in general.
This is why I question the wisdom of Mackenzie volunteering as the poster child for incest. Someone should have foreseen this reaction due to her heavy drug abuse and track record for less than 100% truth. It doesn't really serve her or incest victims so well.

Also, I think there's plenty of reasons why Mackenzie would make this story up. Publishers always want a molestation story. It's a fact.Isn't every ambitious tell-all filled with a molestation shocker? Wasn't shown with Marie Osmond when everyone found out she was told to make up a molestation incident for her book? Mackenzie just took it up a notch and she's enjoying the spoils. It's not like she took down a saint, and she's a tweaker, so it wouldn't be such a far-fetched assumption.
I saw the beat-up car she was driving on the Oprah show while she took them on a tour to her old home with her dad. The woman was in serious debt. Eventhough debt doesn't prove motivation, it's corroborating evidence. He's gone and she needs the money. I don't know, a man who admits to shooting up with his daughter isn't a far cry away from molesting her, I think, so it could also be true. I just can't make up my mind if she's telling the truth or not. If he used to help her find the right place to stick the needle full of junk then he might as well have had sex with her while high.

The abusers encourage their victims to keep quiet, that is why they get away with it. They make the victim scared to speak out, ashamed to speak out. FUCK THAT. Her story may or may not be true, it's hard to tell when your dealing with a hard-core drug addict. It might have happened, it might all be in her head. All I know is she wrote the book after her father was dead, so there is only one side to the story ... so to speak.
On top of that, she inflicted yet another celebrity "bare my soul" book on the public. Keep the shit to yourself or your shrink. Making money off crap like this isn't a "catharsis" it's called "I need more money ... oh and look what I've done with it".

Well my sister accused my father of the same I supported her but I secretly don't completely believe her because she is always always lying, so maybe the siblings had a reason not to trust her and it must be hard to be so public im not sure what I would do but in the public's eye I would give my sister a 100% support but its hard because I never saw him with her, he wasn't allowed to touch me as far back as remenber (my own little baby rule) but is still a very hard thing to believe trust me no matter how much of an asshole and abusive your father is, its hard to believe he slept with your sibling

I have to admire her for talking about what goes on in many many more homes than even we know. It is true that often times when this happens and the child tells a parent/adult, they are not believed. Maybe more so when she was a child than nowadays.. but still it happens. How many women pick their man over their child? Its a tale as old as time. I understand that she’s a total whack job but this immediate dismissal people throw at her with regard to her father I find even more disturbing. You hear time and time again about family and friends that not only don’t believe the accusations but they turn around a re-victimize the person by calling them a liar and quite often ostracize them from the family. Why is it so hard to believe a guy who admittedly has done a shit pot of drugs is capable of something like this? Let’s face it, a lot of coke over a long period of time is going to make you think and do a lot of strange things. I have to say I believe her 100% .
