Weißt du, mich regt einfach nur auf, dass irgendwelche Arschlöcher aus anderen Ländern sich einerseits über uns lustig machen, weil wir so sensibel auf die Sache reagieren (Beweisstück A: die Drogenleiche da oben) oder aber mit dem Finger auf uns zeigen, wenn sie wieder einen Sündenbock in der Welt suchen, um von dem Scheiß den sie selbst gebaut haben abzulenken. Ich frage mich wirklich, warum die Idioten sich wundern, dass wir da so empfindlich sind, wenn wir doch in der ganzen Welt immer noch als Nazis gesehen werden. Gut, wir machen oftmals den Fehler, dass wir uns den Schuh auch anziehen, aber was sollen wir sonst machen? Mit den Achseln zucken und sagen Da scheiß ich doch drauf?. Abgesehen davon, dass die anderen das aus 'Sündenbock-technischen' Gründen gar nicht zulassen würden, dass wir uns von dieser Altlast befreien. Dann gäbe es ja niemanden mehr auf den man zeigen und von sich ablenken könnte.
Du kannst ja an vielen Kommentaren hier zu diesem Thema (nicht nur in diesem Thread) sehen, dass viele Ausländer hinsichtlich dieses Themas schon so desensibilisiert sind und gar nicht erst nachdenken, wie schlimm die Zeit damals gewesen ist, weil sie sich nicht damit beschäftigen (wollen) oder sich noch nie damit beschäftigt haben (besonders die zwei Volltrottel hier, die sich fragen, wie das alles passieren konnte mit so vielen Juden etc.). Somit ist es doch umso wichtiger, solche Dinge nicht zu vergessen und auch mit Respekt zu behandeln, damit so etwas nie wieder passieren kann.
Wenn du auch bedenkst, was in Amerika so alles erlaubt ist. Diese Taser-Guns z. B. Leck mich am Arsch. Wenn wir solche Sachen abziehen würden, dann hieße es doch sofort wieder Na, schau mal an. Die Nazis! Haben nichts dazu gelernt. Die Amerikaner selber aber halten diesen kranken Scheiß für total normal. Und wehe, du sagst, dass das unmenschlich sei. Dann kannst du dir hier auf dieser Seite aber was anhören. Da bin ich ehrlich gesagt froh, dass wir durch unsere Vergangenheit sensibler mit Menschenrechten umgehen. So verrückt es sich auch anhört, etwas Gutes hat die Vergangenheit gebracht. take it, i listened to it live on the radio. he was ment to be the surprise guest at midnight.
when he came on stage ( completely drunk or whatever) he sang a song about crack ( how original) and then he tried to sing the german anthem. But: he did not get the lyrics right only one strophe. This national anthem was written over a hundred years ago, so it has nothing to do with the nazis. English people just love to sing such shit. I personally think he intended nothing with it.
His performance was below zero points in total.
My husband left the room as a musician he was too embarased to listen to this shit.

Every country has something in their history that is regretable. It is common for the "child to pay for the sins of the parent" or for people to expect the following generations to bear the burden as well. The USA has slavery in its history. Do I feel guilty about it? No. I wasn't there at the time and didn't cause or sanction it. I do feel a sense of responsibility about the actions of my ancestors and a vigilance to not let it happen again but guilt? Absolutely not.

Performers tend to do all sorts of stupid shit on stage and not even give one iota of thought as to who is hosting them. I saw Roger Waters at Madison Square Garden in New York a few years back and at one point in the show, he has an inflatable pig floating in the air which had all sorts of anti-America propaganda scribbled on it. There was also a video screen showing political images at the same time as the flying pig. I don't remember exactly what was on the screen, nor on the pig, but it seemed to suggest that Americans were responsible for the attacks on 9/11. Now, that may be a valid observation or perhaps it is completely wrong. Whether I, or anyone, agrees with that is not the point. The point is that he was in Manhattan for crying out loud! He did the same schtick at every gig, all over the country, but for cripes sake, have some compassion and respect when you get to New York. People there were pissed and booing him. I know a few who left. It was a total turn-off and I probably won't go to see him again in the future.

In general, I don't like politics at rock/pop concerts. I go to hear music. If some songs have political lyrics, that is one thing (and certainly not my preference) but I hate hearing burnt-out, privileged, egotistical musicians attempting to get their all-so-important political opinions out to the audience outside of the song. Just shut up and play your guitar.

i don't think that we are tooo sensitive about it ourselves, because sometimes jokes about it are made. on the other hand, we know how cruelsome it was. but you really have to be careful what to say to other people.

KG, a lot of Germans (myself included) are sensitive of hearing about WW2 because the issue is omnipresent.
It is in the TV 24/7, in newspapers, school. Oh yes, schools.
2/3 of the history lessons in German schools is occupied by WW2, we are being buried under what happened 60 years ago and my generation feels as if they want to rub the fault onto us.

Some people are simply tired of being reminded of this dark period everywhere they go, so they will shut down and get sensitive about it.

WW2 is the most 'famous' historical event of Germany, no one knows what was before, no one knows really what was after. No one asks for it.

I was stationed in Germany for almost 3 years and I can attest to Germans being very sensitive to that period in their history. We went throught about 3 days of Cultural Orienation when we first got to base, where they teach you words and phrases and customs and such. They warned us not to even mention or ask about the Holocaust to a native German.
