Happy Thanksgiving!
My kitchen smells like burnt bread and that "Thank You India" song by Alanis Morrissette is playing on repeat in my head, so that must mean it's Thanksgiving times! Or as my mom says after she's had a few glasses of Andre, Tanksgiven! For those of you who don't celebrate it, Happy Booze Until You Barf Out All Your Internal Organs Day (aka every single day of the week)!
And there really is a lot I'm thankful for this year. A zillion things like silver, foxes, mothers, frosting, the circus, animals, cookies, Sharpies, lucite, heels, ginges, abuelitas, keyboards, cats, moons, chicken, cutlets and of course, all of you hos who continue to read my mostly incoherent crazy rants and put up with my annoying obsessions with everything I just listed. So, tank you. Oh, and in case you didn't figure it out, that last picture is an artist's rendering of you.

Yeah, I'd forgotten I'd read this right on my way out and thought: Ah. Soul Sista. Cuz that's when I started hanging out here - I just needed to laugh, man. Everything was so gloomy all the time IRL and I had no control over it, it was just happening. And it started cuz I'm a celebrity hound and one day I was like: ARG! I just have to get away from all this and started reading Perez or some shit, which left me wanting so I clicked around a little and yeah, man - laughter. Michael K. was the bitch voice inside my head that was DYING to get out;p
And there were more like him. I needed snark so bad. Cuz sometimes you just gotta whine about stuff and at the same time not take it too seriously. It's hard to do that IRL. But these bitches (the celebrities) are like our sacrificial lambs and DListers do so enjoy their slaughter. But there's sensitivity too. And it is a community here, weirdly enuff...A World Village and MK's like God, kinda, rather than a schoolteacher...the way he lets us sort shit out by ourselves and doesn't force us to find creative ways to spell the word CUNT. It's very refreshing:)

I sincerely want to thank dlisted for being one of the only things that have helped me smile the last year and a half. I always knew I could come here when I thought I would never have a reason to smile again and something would make me laugh.
In the past year and a half my cousin died in a plane crash, my dog died in the kennel while we were on vacation, my best friend since sixth grade died of cancer before I could get to see her again and my sister committed suicide.
I dragged myself out of my stupor to force myself to try to take my mind off of things and the only place I could find to make me feel a little bit better at times was here.
Everyone has been very supportive and kind and I want to thank you all for that. MK, I don't know what I would have done without you and these dlisted sluts.

i am thankful , that i was once 19 , spent three days in an ugly hostel in brooklyn and met the men i will forever love .
when we broke up i was so sad , it was supposed to end " and they lived happily ever after" , sometimes i wonder what would have happened if i had swallowed my sorrows and ambitions , would i be happy , maybe .
New york stopped some minutes only for me , cats looked down on us from the rooftops of the village and the city was mine , he was able to turn the ordinary into magic ;one day eight years ago , the man of my dreams , asked me to spend eternity with him while waiting for a ferry in venezia , the place where love happens and it did happen for me , for some time , i had it all ,i had the fantasy , i had the boy .
I don't regret it ended , i don't think you are supposed to marry the fantasy , so much love will turn you into ashes , so much passion turns into fire and destroys it all , i did not wanted to marry the dream , after all i am getting old , i am not perfect , i evolve; for the fantasy to live on you need to remain the same , unchanged , perfect at all times ,
there were so many days after i left that i needed to numb myself to keep my sanity that eventually i became indifferent to everything and everybody , i still feel like this i have never felt so much , feeling everything , the air, the skin , the smell , the love , sex without words like pieces of a puzzle ;it fits , no need to talk .
i would do it again , it burned and i became ashes but it felt good , i felt alive , like never before , i go trough life like everybody else , i sleep , eat , wake up , i like the person i will marry , he is my friend , my best friend , but i don't burn for him , i wont break , if he ever goes away .
I am always thinking what if i ever meet someone like that again , can someone somewhere make me feel that .......the cats , the city and the fire are all mine , a secret , a gift to remind me that i can melt from wanting , from loving someone , the picture of us together is my jewel , no one knows how much i still love him , how that image scorch me , i don't want him back he is no longer the one i once die a little every time we sleep together,every time he spoke, every time he breathed ,yet i want the fantasy back , but burnt flesh remains dry and tight .
Wish i was 19 to do it all over again and set myself on fire .
