Drew Barrymore already had her fun with Charlie's Angels TWICE! Drew needs to leave it alone and go play with something else (a sequel to Doppelganger, perhaps?). But noooooooo, Drew is not done with Charlie Angel's! Variety (via Coming Soon) brings us the nipple-crushing news that Drew is in talks with ABC to produce a pilot for a modern version of Charlie's Angels. This is more like Charlie's NIGHTMARES. Did they not learn anything from She Spies?
Josh Friedman, who worked on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, is currently writing the script. Drew and some other evil doers will produce.
Mischa Barton better go back to her whiskey enema and not even look at her phone to call her agent. DON'T.
This whole idea is ugly. The only way I can co-sign this is if this wreck starred Chicken Cutlets, Rojo Caliente, Shauna Sand and Spaghetti Cat as Charlie. Otherwise, they need to let it rest in peace. Send Charlie's Angels up to heaven with Aaron Spelling and Farrah Fawcett where it belongs.

What next Gone with the Wind, the series? Why doesn't Ms. Thing re-make Dynasty, Dallas and Falcon Crest while she's at it? Are there any original ideas anymore in Hollywood or on Broadway for that matter? Case in point: the revival of Bye Bye Birdie on Broadway can't hold a candle to the Anne Margaret version. Why insult audiences with a fifth rate/F- schlocky version when the original is classic?!?! I'm sure whomever Drew casts in this abortion, the New Charlies Angels, won't even compare to Jacqueline, Kate and Farrah...I'm sure even if those three, amazingly beautiful, old-school actresses were having a bad day they could be pull it all together and soldier on looking amazingly fabulous for the camera. For goodness sake, Farah on her deathbed had a better sense of style, grace and dignity than some of the current generation of young actresses who always look and behave hideously: poorly dressed, messy, crappy acting skills and not camera ready. Why bother re-creating a classic at all and most certainly under the aforementioned circumstances?
