Dear Lord, I have NEVER heard of a WORSE father EVER - i am absolutely disgusted w/ Michael Lohan. Too bad that's not a jailable offense so he might "get it" that he betrayed his daughter. Now if he ever hopes to have a "come to Jesus" moment with LiLo - ain't happening; poor, sick girl in denial ain't confessing to some treacherous dick of a dad. He needs universal condemnation for selling her out, and chances are even that won't work through HIS denial. Scumbag.

While Michael Lohan is a pretty crappy father, I think he honestly doesn't know what to do right now, and he really is trying to act in Lindsay's best interest. Lindsay denies she has a problem -- and so does that TERRIBLE mother (who is a WAY worse parent than her father) deny things.

Lindsay also sounds like she is a spoiled whiner and we all know she is a huge attention-whore. I agree with other posters -- SHE DOES NOT WANT TO FIX THINGS. So I really dont feel sorry for her at all, no matter how bad her parents are.

I listened to the alleged Lilo phone call. It's not her. She has a 3 pack-a-day smoker's ragged hack voice. The person speaking actually still sounded somewhat feminine. Lilo sounded like she swallowed razor blades and is a strung-out hag.

I dunno if this comparison has been made yet, but Drew Barrymore was a child actor come drug addict, had a mother more concerned with partying and whoring her out and a father she had to financially support and she came out of it okay. I read an interview with the director of Guncrazy who said she knew she was taking a risk on her with all the stories of her being an unreliable drug user and let her know, if you screw up, I have no problem replacing you. Ah, this is so sad. She's right, they don't care about her. She's a person and I always hope for people who are struggling with addiction and family problems to overcome them. It's not easy on your own, not everyone is strong enough to pull theirself out. Anyway, I guess it's always possible that she allowed her dad to release those tapes in order to get sympathy because people are trashing her, but I don't think so.
