Soy Milk Gave Jeremy Piven Chichis
Jeremy Piven needs to go back to the first grade so he can learn all about The Food Chart again, because dude does not know how to balance his diet. Jeremy already claims that eating too many sea kittens gave him Mercury Poisining. Now he's saying that drinking massive amounts of soy milk has given him a pair of luscious moobs.
Jeremy told STV (via Digital Spy), "I was the guy that dabbled in soya milk, but now I've found out soya milk has enough estrogen for me to grow breasts, I had to put the soya milk down. It was a very confusing time."

soy is highly overrated, IMO. I got on the soy bandwagon several years ago, incorporating large amounts... tofu, soy protein smoothies, soy milk, etc.

Now, I use soy only sparingly and only as a condiment.

But good lord, I hate people making you feel badly for choosing to live a certain way or not live a certain way.
True! Also, a lot of folks who claim to be vegetarian or vegan indulge in everything but red meat. I mean, if you eat cheese, chicken, and fish, you're not really a vegetarian and maybe not helping the animal world all that much. As far as people telling you what to do or not do, both sides of the debate give and get quite well. Vegans would get a lot less free health advice if they stopped hectoring as much.

People are rude. I was vegetarian for 8 years and my family thought I was the WEIRDEST. They used to harass me all the time about it and it bothered me a lot. I started eating fish, poultry, and lets face it, bacon, because that shit is the truth, and my family's response was "THANK GOD." I still have a lot of texture issues and mostly eat veg still, but I do rock some meat once in a while. (BTW, I started eating meat again because I had a protein deficiency, and all the soy/supplements weren't helping.)

Yeah, play around with it! Homemade nut milks are easier than homemade soy milk (which I've done just for the hell of it and if you don't have a soy milk machine, it includes a lot of boiling, straining and blending). If you want to try another controversial product, maybe sweeten it with agave nectar!? Some say it's a sweetener that doesn't affect your blood sugar levels, others say that's completely untrue. So go figure!

You know what scares me? Soy products like tofu hot dogs or burgers. What is that? And McDonalds is scarier than anything. To be honest, I would have a Happy Meal every now or then (like 3x a year) but when they put their nutritional info on the bag, I decided... never again. What cracks me up is, once I went on a trip with my cousin and she informed me she bloats up whenever she goes on vacation. My response was, "How odd, maybe it's the flying?" Then she swung into a McD's right before our flight and had a double cheeseburger, french fry and soda meal. Then I was like, "Oh, ok. Maybe it's the sodium AND the flying?"

Agreed! It is all about being caerful of the amount of soy you take in. I was more directing it to people who eat it a lot because they think it is a health food or quit milk and animal protein for no other reason than thinking that soy milk is great in large quantities. My verdict is if you love it and have to have it, just have it in small doses or just occasionally. If you can live without it, then just pass on it. I also agree that soy milk is a tiny issue in the much more frightening American diet. The people usually "doing" soy are actually very healthy eaters who just don't know the entire story about soy. I don't imagine a 300 lb person who eats McDonalds eveyday requesting soy anything.
As for coffee, no problem here as long as its in moderation! I love me some coffee, I just keep my intake low or I get the shakes, lol.

If you have a nice blender, I think you can just blend it up yourself. I think you just soak the almonds, then blend it with water. For a snack, the vegetarians in my family soak their almonds and then let them dry.
