Happy Thanksgiving, Canada!
Also, Happy Columbus Day (whatever that means), Americans! And Happy Monday to everybody else.
There's really only one way to celebrate Thanksgiving/Columbus Day/Monday and that's with a heaping serving of Wanda's special 7,000-calorie macaroni salad! Yes, Memaw Ruth (see below) told us to stay away from greens, but I'm sure she would be okay with this "instant diabetes in a bowl." Besides, all of the sugar, condensed milk, mayo and vinegar probably sucks all the nutritional value out of the vegetables.
Wanda's recipe is almost perfect. When I make this tonight, I'm going to cover it in 8 cups of cheese, throw it in my Fry Daddy and serve it with a glass of butter juice. The Paula Deen way!

I think dlisters are the BESTEST !!!!! , i have said this before but besides all i always find nice comments , the reason i felt for her so much is cuz i saw more of the stuff she was making and not all the things she did were so caloric , i mean woman did taco shell stuff or something and it didn't look bad !
i felt for her becuz i have read youtube comments and YES THEY ARE HORRIBLE some people are just going on the web to say the meanest stuff , i mean like you said i could be watching a puppy doing whatever and some troll would say , uhhhhhhh that is one fucking ugleeeeeeee dog or something , she deserves the chance to go out and do her stuff , yes her life is in danger cuz is too much , but what gets me is that she is nice , nicer than me fer sure , hell i don't have an eating problem nor i am super skinny nor super fat i wear a size 6 and i am 5'3 no complaints i have always being the same , i feel really good but i see some small kids eating themselves out because of stress ( maybe divorce of parents , death of a parent , they feel like outcast , etc ) and the nasty comments just add to the process of destruction i mean i am sure if given the chance she would lose a few pounds and i wish she could read this and feel better about herself ..... i guess that is all but since i can not tell the youtube users this i thought i might as well do it here , in case she reads it !

Yes, she does come across as a very sweet woman. I also feel super sad for her that the comments were disabled. I'm sure the were mega hurtful. Having said that, her morbid obesity is not a "cosmetic" issue. I sincerely feel for her. I really hope that doesn't have children that she is feeding that dangerously unhealthy food to.

You know - we're not that bad here...we make an effort to keep it real. But have you ever tried to read a Youtube comments thread? You could put a kitty cat saving a mouse from a fire and living happily ever after forever and ever and there would be bitches up there calling you an asshole. And then they fight with each other. It's fucking ridiculous. YouTube is a way bigger, wider worl and apparently that world is just BURSTING with assholes waiting to spew their shit everywhere.
And she's fat. She's not just a little fat - or even just a lot fat. She's "I've got a problem" fat. And our society is so fucking weird that, when we see someone with a problem, we yell at them. But not all of us - cuz we're actually not that weird.
In the long run, if you can hack it through to the end it becomes a very balanced assistance. You have the people yelling at her that she's fat and that's nasty and then you have the people who defend her (like you:) Without the yelling, she may have never heard the support. If she gets too much yelling it will just add to her insecurity but if it's balanced by enough support she'll, eventually hear the message but not feel overwhelmed by it. If she JUST gets the support, she'll continue to live in denial.
Basically it's true when Pooh Bear says: Everything is as it should be.
PLUS! If you dare to eat that shit, ya just gots yerself a new resspee!

I'm on Team Wanda. Yes, she's fat. Yes the food almost made me barf. But she's having her own good time and I was entertained. I don't have to hate someone because they're fat and she doesn't represent ALL Americans. She's her own person and most of us don't eat like that. I like her.
I just don't understand the ingredients. When I make mac salad, I never needed more than 4 tablespoons of mayo and 1/2 a teaspoon of sugar. The mayo has enough vinegar for tang and I've never even heard of using condensed milk.
But I don't hate the woman for being fat or making it the way she does. I don't have to eat any. I couldn't care any less how many calories other people consume.

Ugh, I finished with "Pomodoro Pasta" which wasn't hideous and she used fresh ingredients and whole-wheat pasta because she was "trying to be more healthy". Can't hate, when she tries.
That shit was nasty. She could barely breath, much less see out of those things she calls eyes. They look like they were being suffocated by her cheeks.
You know, I feel really badly for her. She needs to try some HEALTHFUL recipes and realize that a good cook can make them to be just as tasty.
I hate mayo and sweetened condensed milk (for the love of gawd, in SALAD).

Did any of her videos star vitamin L (lard) in them? She obviously loves to cook, has a good tools and cleans her kitchen; someone should challenge her to try to cook without sugar and white flour. (At the very least).
What a discovery this woman is! I've watched four more of her videos and have to admit I've never see someone pour frozen orange juice concentrate and brown sugar over a perfectly good pork roast. And to see her start sort of healthy with chicken breasts using vinegar, sun dried tomatoes and garlic and then have to ad store bought salad dressing (which she explains contains vinegar, sun dried tomatoes and garlic). I'll have to fave "sinfullysara", but wish I could leave her a comment "it's parmesan reggiano, not parmesan rano".
i feel like this is one of those fake "set-up" videos...i just can't fathom that this is REAL...

Well, my mom told me to use equal parts sugar and vinegar (up to ONE tablespoon) when mixing up your macaroni or potato salad.
Not a fucking CUP of sugar and a can of sweetened condensed milk and a pint of mayo.

I think in Delta of Venus, by Anaïs Nin, there is the story of a woman who when she was a girl would hide in a closet sucking condensed milk out of a can. And when she grew up, she really liked to give head because it reminded her of doing that. I dunno, I snuck and read that book when I was 13 about 100 years ago.
People in New Orleans would drink that Sweetened Condensed Milk with a straw right out of the can, and do it in the grocery store while shopping. Bring a can-opener from home.

Hubby and I watch the Food Channel at night, especially Man Vs. Food, and the one with Guy Fiere, usually the ones with the Midwest BBQ joints and the greasy spoons. We're just fascinated with what people eat when they go out.
Huge plates of food and oversize sandwiches. Makes me want to hurl a little bit.
Since discovering a real love of sushi, that is the ONLY thing we want to go out for anymore, on our dinner date nights. Loove Japanese food. They got it right.
Can't gorge ourselves on Italian dinners anymore.
