Oprah Wants The Olympics!
Oprah got in her solid gold jet and flew all the way to Copenhagen to declare to the Olympic committee that she's ready to embrace the summer games! The Mighty O and Michelle Obama will appear before the International Olympic Committee tomorrow in a bid to bring the 2016 summer games to Chicago. President Obama is still trying to decide whether he's going to make the trip. I don't think he wants to miss tonight's episode America's Next Top Model.
The other cities in the running include Madrid, Rio and Tokyo.
Oprah said, "I love and believe in Chicago, and I think it would be the perfect host city for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games."
What Oprah really means is that she'll trade in her puss holder Gayle King for the Olympics. And if they don't do that, she'll buy the damn Olympics herself and rename it THE OPRAHLYMPICS! I shouldn't even joke, because that is totally possible.

They will discuss why Chicago is best to host the 2016 Summer Games, and how the United States is eager to bring the world together to celebrate the ideals of the Olympic movement." While in Denmark, the statement said, Obama and his wife also will meet with Queen Elizabeth and the president will meet with Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen of Denmark. Since there won't be a Chicago Olympics, it might be worth payday loans to go wherever it will be.

Obama is pushing for the olympics in Chicago because he owes Valerie Jarrett a political favor. Jarrett is a slumlord who let her properties like Grove Parc Plaza get so bad that it now may be condemned. WHY? Because she has been pushing for the Olympics in Chicago for a while and is going to demolish her properties that she purposely let get so unlivable so she can get more $$ and have the Olympic village (which as already been promised to her) on her property. What did she do with the $$$ she was suppose to use to improve these unlivable properties and will she pocket this money too? One hand washes the other. Corruption and greed reigns in our government!

that story depressed the hell out of me/scared me...i don't have the appropriate words but it was sadness...by all accounts the kid was a GOOD kid...i hate that people are trying to say "well it's easy to be an honor student in that type of neighborhood"...i used to teach and i say so fucking what...that kid probably had so much stigma and teasing just for being honor roll/honor student....

We are pretty much on the same page. Although what Wilson did was wrong, he was right AND after he said what two loopholes would allow illegals to get coverage, they CHANGED it to close them next Friday AND thanked him for it. No-one ever mentions that part.
It doesn't matter anyway, because Obama is going to give the illegals amnesty (see his recent speech to the Hispanics) and then they will get coverage. Hey, it won't be a lie, but a well-crafted workaround. Don't forget, he's a lawyer and he's surrounded himself with them, they can twist anything around to look good.

If you read the healthcare bill - revised - it states that the basic plan will not provide abortion but an upgraded plan will. Some people feel abortion is murder and do not want tax dollars to pay for it.
I don't want my hard earn money to pay for some lazy person's healthcare nor for someone who chooses a nice car, cable and internet over having healthcare. Are you a lazy person or do you waste your money? All Congress has to do is tort reform and lift state sanctions for national competition on healthcare and ALL could afford it. IT is all about govt. control. Government ruins everything it takes control of: Post Office - Bankrupt, Social Security - Bankrupt, GM - still losing money, etc.
The bill doesn't deny illegal aliens coverage and many congressmen are now pushing for it to be written in the bill for them to be covered so there won't be any question on their coverage. How else is the govt. going to pay for it without taxing. It is naive to think otherwise. It will also charge $700 to $7000 per person if you refuse healthcare.
The stimulus bill gave money to "businesses" like Acorn. Stimulus creates temporary jobs for a temporary solution. It was also written by the Apollo Alliance whose goal is for big government and many board members are self-proclaimed socialist and want govt. control over our lives. (I researched myself). Much of the money went to politicians own organizations such as Biden and the Clintons. There's $1 billion for Amtrak, the federal railroad that hasn't turned a profit in 40 years; $2 billion for child-care subsidies; $50 million for job creation, the National Endowment for the Arts who were paid to spread Obama's propoganda; $400 million for global-warming research and another $2.4 billion for carbon-capture demonstration projects. There's even $650 million on top of the billions already doled out to pay for digital TV conversion coupons.
Well, if Oprah says she likes it then Oprah gets what she wants and everyone bows down to the queen.

I'm GLAD he's for a single health care payer system, even if he can't exactly put that into action right now. At heart, he's a pragmatist. He knows what he would prefer, but he also knows what's possible at this point in time.
It's illegal to use Federal funds for abortion, so I don't know what you're talking about. And abortion won't be permitted, even under someone's private insurance, if the anti-choice people have their way. And THAT, my friend, is wrong. If you don't like abortion, don't have one.
The rest of it is conjecture, at best.
You don't know for a fact that the middle-class will be taxed b/c you can't predict the future. You don't know what he did and didn't know about x, y, and z b/c you're not privey to that knowledge. You also don't KNOW that illegal aliens will be covered since the bill isn't actually DONE YET. But I believe there is a clause in most of the proposals that states that, no, they will NOT be covered (and honestly, you already pay for them anyway! Big deal! It's all an excuse for people to be xenophobic.)
The Stimulus Bill is an investment in our future, NOT just some free-for-all spending spree...or as you like to claim, pork. God forbid we spend money on infrastructure (ours is horrible!), education (we don't stack up to the rest of the world), and science.
Frankly, you lost me when you started spewing about anyone being a Communist. God, that term is SO PLAYED. Most of you don't even know what it means!

Sadly, it also has the most amount of kids/people that go hungry. I learned about the Chicago Food Depository in my business class (great organization btw) but I can't help but wonder how this city is in such need and no-ones fixes it (past or present). I think they said they go through 2 million pounds of food a year. They are definitely the largest in the nation for giving out food.
