Bijou Says She Knew
Both Michelle Phillips and Geneviève Waïte have publicly kicked Mackenzie Phillips down by calling her a lie-lie-liar for saying she had a 10-year long sexual "relationship" with her father. Now Bijou Phillips is taking the stage to give her own monologue. Bijou said this:
"When I was 13, Mackenzie told me that she had a consensual sexual relationship with our father. This news was confusing and scary, as I lived alone with my father since I was 3. I didn't know what to believe, and it didn't help that shortly there after Mackenzie told me it didn't happen. Mackenzie’s history with our father is hers, but also clouded with 30 years of drug abuse. I hope she can come to terms with this and find peace. The life I had with my father was very different. He was Mr. Mom, encouraging and loving. The man that raised me would never be capable of doing such things, and if he was, it is heartbreaking to me to think that my family would leave me alone with him. I understand Mackenzie's need to come clean with a history she feels will help others, but it's devastating to have the world watch as we try and mend broken fences, especially when the man in question isn’t here to defend himself."
Who knew that the girl who once fucked a snake (I made that up) would be the one to issue the semi-smartest statement (after Chynna, of course)? Maybe barley water actually does work? No, she must just be having a moment.

It bothers me that Michelle will say liar when she herself was a basket full of drugs for many many years if not still. Chynna and Bijou have taken higher grounds and I admire them for that and still say they love Mackenzie. You never know what goes on in ANYONE'S life so don't be so quick to judge. Michelle was never high on my list for anything but she just went down several rungs.
"She knows in another 10 years, no one will even care who she was." TRY TEN DAYS! LOL!
"Most people to me are like dog shit on the pavement, walk around it & if you come into contact w/it, erase all traces toot sweet."
All families have problems. This one just tends to live all theirs in the limelight.
You cannot pick your family usually, and unfortunately.

I think it is true. I do not think anyone would be so desperate for cash to say they fucked their mom or dad.
Or as Stewie Griffin would say: Well, keerhap! This just ra-hoo-eened the entire formula for the sexual partners calculator!

This ENTIRE family should just gather up in one room, fuck each other and get it over with.
Do any one of these kids have the same father?
They should start their own basketball team.
Random fact: MP is named after Scott McKenzie (just a stage name), singer of "SFO (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)," sappiest hippie song evah, but written by John Phillips.

It shocks me that she can string together a halfway coherent sentence.
As for that picture it doesn't support Mackenzie very well. She looks like the crazy lady down the street who claims that the mailman wants to rape her and that elves live in her boarded-up basement.
... My jaw literally dropped while reading this. Seriously, who KNEW this batshit scieno ho could scrawl her name in crayon, let alone something this eloquent and to the point? Eh, nevermind, probably hired Tommygirl's scriptwriter.
Mackenzie is nuts always has been. I can't say whether it happened or not because I wasn't there. It's sick if it happened, really sick.
Bijou has issues of her own, frankly.
I can't believe that she and Masterson are getting married, scieno style of course.
Doesn't Bijou have "daddy" tattooed on her ass? That's creepy... This whole situation is gross.

While this type of stuff is known to happen and is probably more common than we would like to admit, I just find it a bit odd that Mackenzie's "relationship" with her dad started when she was 19, an adult who had been on a hit show for 3 years already, had her own paychecks and money. Yeah, yeah, drugs mess you up bad, but come on, she was an independent woman by then. It says a lot about her character that she lets it be known that other than the first time, the rest of the incidents were completely consensual. She's just as sick as Daddy was.

Ok, big credibility points for Mack that Denny Doherty's daughter says it's true bc Denny knew.

Seems to me she's telling people in her family and extended family the truth about it and then gauging their reactions taking it back just to keep the peace.

"I'm a black robot, motherfucker."

Maybe that one is true...
But I still believe she was tapped out with *pity me* stuff and went for the big score.
She knows in another 10 years, no one will even care who she was.
She's cashing in now.
But since she revealed her whole life in previous decades she made up the nastiest thing she could for the biggest short term return.
She is a professional drug addict, who's lucky enough to be (in)famous.
And we're codependents who empower her.
She makes up shit, we feel sorry for her and give her money to sustain her drug habits.
Watching Oprah now with Chynna Phillips. She does believe her sister and says she (Chynna) barely spent any time with her father (God job, Michelle Phillips) so no wonder she's the only daughter who didn't have a crazy junkie problem. Nice plug Chynna got for her Christian album, debuting this week. On Oprah, too. Not that the plug negates the credibility of her support. She could have as easily told the reverse story.
Really, I want to know what Mick Jagger thinks of this.
That is certainly an interesting interview with Bijou. Yikes.
I think people that are upset when others are skeptical need to bear in mind that part of the problem is she is making money off of these allegations.
Is she really trying to help others? Possibly. I have no doubt that her life with her drugged out hippy father was terrible.
But combined lurid public confessions in a book you promote on Oprah just feels yucky.
Zambonie -
Apparently, they asked Mick Jagger about it and he didn't deny it. Instead, he laughed and said, "Those were crazy times." So I'm inclined to believe that one. She wasn't underage, though. She said she was 18. Her story goes: Mick Jagger sent John out for mayonnaise to make tuna fish sandwiches (LOL), they locked him out, and when he came back, he banged on the door screaming, "That's my daughter!" The fact that this would've been somewhat near the time she later began her sexual relationship with her father gives that paternal declaration a real "ick" factor.
Tristram -
LOL. You know, I love that we're calling this "research!" Can you resist, though...

Step mothers are vain women? Or women who chase and marry (often) older, (sometimes) married (frequently) celebrity, (always) monied men? LOL. I'm not saying it didn't happen and I don't doubt what you're saying is true regarding the family dynamics and nuances of child abuse in general. I'm just saying it's near impossible to call lies or truth on this on Mackenzie's declaration alone. She has my sympathy but I take the story with a grain of salt... I half expect her next book to be about her post-drug battles with false memories. And, from what she said on Oprah, she was using drugs for years before she remembers the first incident of sexual abuse. Though according to her, her drug use become much more of a problem for her after she says their sexual relationship began.

I think her mom is still alive. She looks like MP. Her stage name then was Suzy January.
Since I'm at my new job today, and can't get fired twice in one week :), I plan to conduct further research this evening, with a red wine in hand.
I don't believe it happened
Mackenzie Phillips has made a career out of writing books about her life and the talk show circuit.
First it was about drug abuse and later her sex life with the big shocker then about fucking Mick Jagger when she was way under aged.
And him saying *I've waited since you were 10 for this moment* or something to that effect. (yeah right)
So this time around, knowing that no one would pay her for the old stories, she upped the ante and ruins her fathers name.
And since he had a rep for a hard partying lifestyle, of course he instigated a incestuous affair with the ugly daughter.
She's been wallowing in sack cloth and ashes in all media for over 3 decades.
It's how she makes a living people.
She pioneered the field.
Of course she's only doing it for all the little people who can't speak out
McKenzie probably recanted like that repeatedly, because NO ONE WOULD BELIEVE HER!
That doesn't mean it didn't happen.....it's just ugly human nature if it didn't happen to those wives, and they were getting something they deemed positive out of Mr. Philips....they don't want to hear about it, so it's easier to just deny, deny, deny. Especially if you're some sort of woman that married someone just because they're famous (I mean why do horrible drug addicts get wife after wife? Do you think hard core drug addicts that are garbage men do?).....that celebrity becomes part of a woman like that's self image for validation, they don't want to hear he fucks his kids!
That's what I'm sayin'. That interview speaks volumes, so Bijou might be in denial now. Prolly the scientology fucking with her brainz.
What about that interview...what the hell was THAT about?:
BRUCE: Tell me about the new song you wrote — the one you were singing in the car on the way back from lunch.
BIJOU: The one about my dad? It sort of speaks for itself. I've made this decision not to talk to the press about anything that's gone on in my life, but just to write music about it. They can interpret it themselves.
BRUCE: There seemed to be some improprieties going on. You're talking about stuff in your music that's pretty heavy. Has anyone articulated it for you in the press?
BIJOU: No one has the balls to do it.
BRUCE: I'll do it.
BIJOU: [laughs] It's blatantly obvious.
BRUCE: The refrain in your new song is: "He touched me wrong." How much more blatant can you get?
BIJOU: I really want his balls busted, but I also want to be able to say, "It's just a song."
BRUCE: It's not just a song.
BIJOU: It's just a song.
BRUCE: In Celebrity Sleuth it says you have a "Daddy" tattoo on your butt, and there's a picture of it.
BIJOU: Yeah.
BRUCE: It's funny how you can know a person and not know they have "Daddy" tattooed on their butt.
BIJOU: That was during a time when I was a pretty sick puppy. I went and got it with my friend David Blaine. I was eighteen.
BRUCE: Did David Blaine also get "Daddy" tattooed on his butt?
BIJOU: No.

LEAVE LADY GAGA ALOOOOOOOONE!
It seems like the step mothers are vain women (which fits on what kind of person marries or is into celebrity) and don't want the world to know what kind of choices they made. They just don't want to reflect poorly on themselves.
But the siblings don't have that guilt, they had no choice in who their father was, and I suspect, at one time or other, despite all the claims that "he was a normal dad to me," they might have gotten the creepy vibe from dear old dad. THEY KNOW. Incidentally, it's not unusual for a abuser to single out one child.
The fact that McKenzie is a drug addict is a fitting result of someone who was molested. What does Michelle Philips think? The way I see it, even if it weren't true,(which I very much doubt,) McKenzie's father is responsible for the kind of person she is, so attacking her, doesn't let him off the hook one bit.
Maybe it is inappropriate to air your dirty laundry with no regard to your family, but what do you expect if her claims are true? So your dad got you high and fucked you, but they expect you to KNOW what's right and wrong? McKenzie's saying it was "consensual" to let him off the hook and that just proves how much he screwed her up.
Submitted by Tristram on Fri, 09/25/2009 - 4:27pm.
Bijou Phillips' mother issued a written statement saying it wasn't true and that was included on Oprah (probably edited in post-interview as during the interview Mack said no one would deny her story and Oprah didn't press her about it).
As for Mackenzie Phillips' mother, is she still alive? I've seen her referenced but never even seen a picture of her.
I couldn't find anything by MP's bio mom on what she thought. (Maybe I missed it...) But I think she was long out of the picture when the abuse supposedly started anyway. (I guess MP could have told her things?) And John def got more messed up as the 1970s went on.
Again, Bijou is only saying that she was told about a concensual affair, then states that Phillips recanted later.
But on a different note, how fucked up was her mother that she lived alone with her dad since she was 3?

Basically she is saying she was told the same thing, not that she believes it.
Yeah, thats what i got out of it also. Misleading headline.
___________
IA. This is not a confirmation of any kind. In fact, the whole Mr. Mom thing (yeah right) clearly tries to balance the current depiction of John Phillips' character. If anything, Bijou is trying to be supportive of her sister at the same time walk the middle road -- letting everyone decide themselves -- and leaving loopholes like drug addiction and stories recanted. Basically, she's saying she knows as much truth about it as anyone who wasn't in the situation but that wasn't the father she knew... only anything is possible because John & Mackenzie Phillips were high as kites for most of their lives.

In the High on Arrival track that some blogs were putting up yesterday, the lyrics that he wrote goes along the lines of:
She’s Just 14
lyrics:
She’s just 14 – little movie star queen
There isn’t much she hasn’t seen
She “did it” in a limousine car
She dated pop stars
Hey Rainbow Hair, say that’s no where
But she always says
I’m just a sexy trash can
But she’s just a little girl, who thinks like a man
And sometimes her Daddy’s spoiled her
Sometimes he treated her rough
Sometimes she’s gentle
Sometimes she’s tough
Sick sick sick, most people are speculating that "did it" in the limo means had sex with him.
So sad, I feel so sorry for her she never stood a chance

I'm still in the it happens a lot camp. I've got no personal experience but I think it's some disgusting part of our evolutionary biology that we haven't been able to put behind us. If you think that we all evolved from tribes-somebody was f'ing somebody that lived under their tent way back in the day. The minimum was cousins had to do their cousin caveman or the human race would have ceased to exist way back.
Today, their is no excuse for it.

So true the wives were just glorified enablers. I mean Michelle clearly admits that all wasn't kosher with the relationship between Mackenzie and her father and then goes on to say that she doesn't believe her.
Initially I was doubtful about the story, but since the other kids came out supporting Mackenzie, I believe it more and more.
