Serena Williams Puts $10,000 In The Swear Jar
Serena Williams will have to fork over $10,000 in fines for telling a line judge she wanted to "shove a tennis ball down her throat" at the US Open this past weekend. Serena wipes her taint with $10,000 in single bills every day, so she's not even going to miss the money. Especially since she was paid $350,000 in prize money for making it to the semi-finals.
Serena was also fined $500 for racket abuse. The hos in charge at the US Open also said that in addition to the fines, Serena may face additional peenalties (typo and it stays). If they really wanted to punish Serena's ass, they'd lock her in a Henny-less room with Kanye West.
If you ask me, I think they should be the ones paying Serena $10,000 for actually making tennis entertaining. Yes, watching floppy dicks bounce around in loose shorts gives me the tingles, but nothing beats an all-out cunt bitch meltdown.

Serena couldn't see the foot fault so she didn't know if the judge was right or wrong. She thinks she all dat so she decided to blow up at her becuz she knew she'd get away with it, and she did. Bla bla, end of rant. Proves she's ghetto and always will be. Watching tennis isn't boring to tennis players, we don't need a ghetto chick from Watts to mouth off and threaten innocent volunteers so we can enjoy it. Fin.
Meh, I like her. She is very sweet and engaging when Conan interviews her. On Conan's show, she has admitted that she gets really pumped when she plays and can intimidate her opponents.

Fines in tennis have always been ridiculous. 10K to Serena Williams is like that penny laying on the street (which we don't bother picking up for fear of catching something) for the rest of us.

Angel, the first time I watched curling I was in the hospital during the o6 winter games having my daughter. The tv was on and they were scrubbing the ice with brooms and pushing that flat rock thing and I was happy that it was a quiet game.

Serena looks like what an athlete is supposed to look like. In case you folks haven't noticed, BLACK people have larger muscle mass than other groups, so yeah when they are involved in sports, they are much more muscular.

Umm, teasing her physique has nothing to do with race. She looks very manly not because she's a black athlete but because she actually looks manly. Not many people go around saying Venus looks like a man because she doesn't. Not only is Venus also obviously black, but she has similar genes and plays the same sport thereby doing similar training...difference is: she doesn't look like a man. Don't pull out the race card when unnecessary.

Money corrupts and unfortunately the PARENTS of sports figures haven't taught their children grace under pressure, nobility of soul, humility and yes, courtesy.

when you're in the heat of the moment and you're losing it's completely natural to do outbursts no matter how bad.it's human nature. these athletes truly graceful side shows only when they win or lose.
Shorty, I wrote already that list was made in 2006. Since Anna does not play anymore (RETIRED DUE TO INJURIES) I was trying to find the earliest list possible. Still can't find one.
I am all for competition - "there can only be one"! But I don't think the Prima-Donna stuff enhances any sport. Granted, Serena's outburst was not the worst I have seen - pretty mild actually - but it should not be seen as business as usual. The fine was a good call - and MK is right - this is chump-change for Serena.
