Detective La Toya Joins The Foreclosure Club
Detective La Toya Jackson has been too busy getting to the bottom of EVERYTHING that she hasn't had the time to pay her bills! Because of that, La Toya's Las Vegas condo is in default and will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that La Toya bought the condo in 1996 for $260,000, but thanks to several liens placed on the joint over the years, she owes the bank nearly $750,000.
Late last month, La Toya was seen quickly moving her belongings out of the apartment in the dead of night and into a Datsun pick-up truck parked outside. Okay, I made up that "dead of night" and Datsun part, but I can totally picture her pulling that crap to evade the creditors!
Since La Toya can now add a foreclosure to her glittery resume, she obviously needs to join the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta! Detective La Toya is the only bitch who get to the bottom of what's living (and dying) on Kim's head! Seriously, that wig is probably made of several extinct animals and La Toya will find out the truth!
And that picture above is punching me in the soul. An Ed Hardy cap, La Toya?! Does Ed Hardy make deerstalker hats at least? Come on, La Toya!

Yup. They rely too much on their accountants, lawyers, and managers, and can't be bothered to check the details. They rarely have an education, so they lack basic life skills. They're used to being coddled and handled; some of 'em never learn to drive or cook. Riches came to them possibly too easily, so they assume more money is always around the corner. In a few words, "MC Hammer."
I don't understand celeb economics. As much money as these people make, they are always broke. I guess people in the performing arts aren't usually good with money *ducks*
They might make a lot of money, but there are so many people they employ that take their cut. I have no idea how some of them live such lavish lifestyles. I guess this is how they do it. Leveraged to the hilt.

This reminds me of Margueritaville on South Park...where he wants to return this stupid Marguerita Maker his dad bought...and the store sends him to head office who sends him to the bank who sends him to Wall Street where they decide that the appliance is now worth 7 million dollars...but not in CASH, exactly. They make their decisions by cutting the head off a chicken and letting it run around on a board with options (ie. foreclose, buy, sell, etc.) and watching wear it dies.

That's a large leap. The unit kept going up in value as Vegas boomed. She re-fi'd a few times, at the enhanced value, and pulled cash out. Condos in Vegas have crashed. The liens on the unit are now far larger than its market value. Gravity never sleeps.
