Jessica Simpson's reality show for Vh1, The Price of Beauty, starts shooting next week and the network is shaking their heads while emptying all their pockets, because making Papa Joe's favorite wet dream star look like she just walked out of a Glamour Shots does not come cheap. Page Six says that Jessica's price for beauty is around $25,000 clams per episode. A source said, "She insists on using her own hair, makeup and fashion stylists, who are more expensive than J.Lo's."
A rep for Vh1 said they don't comment on money shit.
$25,000 is not that much*. I'm sure that's less than the booze, lube and morning after-pill budget on any of those Rock of Whore shows. Although, you know most of that money is really going towards Ken Paves' moisturizer bill. If K-Pav doesn't keep his pucker hole moist at all times, he's real a bitch and will refuse to glue polyester hair pieces into Jessica's scalp.

Agreed with you on the no sympathy thing. More or less because I watched one or two episodes of Newlyweds to see what all the fuss was about. The general public seemed to have an "Aww, isn't that cute? She's so dumb and useless" attitude about her. In one of the eps I saw, she was bragging that she didn't know how to do laundry or pick up after herself because she never had to, like it was a good thing. Then there was a whole sequence on her trying to figure out the washing machine. Maybe I'm weird, but I didn't see what was cute about a grown ass woman thinking it was cute to be dumb and spoiled.

I hear you, but I have absolutely no sympathy for this gash, and this is why:
Even with her dearth of talent, she gets a pass because of her looks.
She got opportunities to act and sing, yet never took those opportunities seriously enough to actually rehearse, learn the words to the songs she's being paid to sing; in other words, be a PROFESSIONAL. When she's fuck up a song on her Chili Cook-Off tour, she'd try for SYMPATHY from an audience that paid to see someone put on a concert.
And now people are supposed to feel bad for her because her dumb ass got dumped AGAIN, this time by a meatheaded jock?

I seem to recall her break-out role was as her dumb self in an MTV reality show, which I constantly see clips of in those Vh1 'I love the '00s' or something like that.
This is probably one of her better career moves in ages, seeing how that singing stuff is not happening, try as she might, changing genres constantly and always bombing.
I do like her for one thing: she gives us a constant source of snark. Then again, most reality skanks do too.
There's a quality about her that makes me feel bad for her shortcomings though. I think it's because it is so obvious that her parents drilled into her head that being pretty was way more important than becoming educated.
She could change that now that she is (presumably) a grown woman, so I guess she's to blame for her perpetual ignorance. But yah... I do feel sorry for this silly cow.
