Oh, look! It's a picture of Roseanne dressed up as Hitler in the new issue of Heeb Magazine. Eeesh. If this was anybody else, my eye balls would've already jumped out of their sockets and been on the next Chinatown bus to "Anywhere That Doesn't Have The Internets." But this is Roseanne. If you've spent two quick seconds on her blog, you'll know that she's a proud member of the "Y So Edgy" club. Roseanne's tongue is like a taser. I mean, look at this snippet from the article:

There's a line that says: "you can make fun of everything, but not with everyone".
I guess for a lot of people this is very offensive, for others, like me, it's extremely funny.
It doesn't mean that she, or I, are mocking the Holocaust and its victims, just that it feels great to be more laid back and that humor is the key.
And the fact that she's Jewish is what makes it hilarious. I'm married to a Jewish guy and believe me, Jews love jokes about the Holocaust.

You're both right. Because so many people of the Jewish religion intermarried and reproduced for so long, there do tend to have the same ethnic roots. For example, my aunt converted to Judaism, but everyone else in her family (and half of mine) are either WASPs or German Catholics. A German Catholic and a German Jew have different family origins most of the time, though both are German. And my Jewish aunt and her Jewish friends are all Jewish, but that doesn't mean they have the same ethnic roots.
Also, I wrote off Roseanne once they won the lottery on her show.

No....Jewish is a race, that's made crystal clear in the Bible. Only people of Jewish decent will be acknowledge by God in certain things if they practice the Jewish religion. It's both a race and religion.

Roseanne's Hitler joke = not funny. I met an old woman just two days ago who had a faded number tattooed on her left arm. What happened in the concentration camps will never be funny, and there are still people alive who were in the camps, and family members who knew and loved others who suffered and died in the camps.
There are plenty of other things to make jokes about. If you're funny, that is, and Roseanne just isn't anymore.
