La Toya's Tribute To Michael
La Toya Jackson took a little time out from getting to the bottom of EVERYTHING to release a tribute song for her brother Michael Jackson. La Toya recorded the song before her brother's death and had originally planned to dedicate it to her entire family (cut to Joe Jackson raising one of his brows). You can download "Home" on iTunes starting July 28th.
All proceeds from the sale of the single will go to The Make La Toya Relevant Fund. Jokes. La Toya will donate every single penny to AIDS Project LA, which was a charity Michael supported.
Apparently, La Toya will not take off her deerstalker cap or put down her magnifying glass to promote or market the single.
Maybe it's because I have a soft spot for songs that sound like they should be sung by cartoon princesses trapped in towers, but I actually like this (?). I can also blame the entire box of mini powdered donuts I just swallowed whole. Ask me tomorrow when the sugar drunks wears off.

I don't know where to begin on this. I stopped listening after the first 'sentence'. La Toya, honey, I think really you need to just let it go now. Why not go to secretarial school, or beauty school? Heck, go to welding school, some sort of trade school, anything really. Just please stop *entertaining* us. Get a trade, something that does not involve *entertainment* and move on with your life? Singing is not your forte; you're way past prime time being that you're 54. It's really just time to hang it up.

The Jackson family will need to tread carefully. Right now, public sentiment is on their side. The minute those brothers start cashing in on Michael's death, things will get ugly. I'm having a hard time imagining the Jackson 5 running through their hits of yesteryear in concert merely a month after their icon of a brother died. That is WAY too soon and borders right on greedy and disrespectful IMO. What was he to them? An ATM machine in life and now in death too? Shame. Not only that, but the auction of MJ's videorecorded final rehearsal has been up for grabs to the highest bidder all week with a 'winner' to be announced next week. Talk about not wasting a minute.

What can you say? The Jacksons are a showbiz family and the show goes on. The proceeds from this tribute song are going to AIDS project LA ~ where's the beef in that? I'll have a problem, however, if Michael's mom contests his will. Those are his final wishes and those wishes must be honored. I'll also have a bit of a problem if the Jackson brothers fly off to Jamaica at the end of this month to star in a concert over there .... seems a bit soon to me to be resurrecting those careers that have been in the crapper since forever.

I'm afraid that's exactly where his "loving" family is headed with this. They seem to be working the murder angle as just the beginning of arguing that Michael wasn't in his right mind when he wroted/signed on to that will. I bet it burns skeevy Joe that he can't have at the children's fund, and I believe Katherine Jackson would still be a pushover/sucker for Joe's manipulations/bullshit.
