La Toya's Tribute To Michael
La Toya Jackson took a little time out from getting to the bottom of EVERYTHING to release a tribute song for her brother Michael Jackson. La Toya recorded the song before her brother's death and had originally planned to dedicate it to her entire family (cut to Joe Jackson raising one of his brows). You can download "Home" on iTunes starting July 28th.
All proceeds from the sale of the single will go to The Make La Toya Relevant Fund. Jokes. La Toya will donate every single penny to AIDS Project LA, which was a charity Michael supported.
Apparently, La Toya will not take off her deerstalker cap or put down her magnifying glass to promote or market the single.
Maybe it's because I have a soft spot for songs that sound like they should be sung by cartoon princesses trapped in towers, but I actually like this (?). I can also blame the entire box of mini powdered donuts I just swallowed whole. Ask me tomorrow when the sugar drunks wears off.

I like it more than most things. I hear no auto tone or techno beats.
I've always rooted for La Toya through good times and bad, since I feel that she epitomizes the classic underdog. Surprisingly, I really like this "Home" song and believe me, I was expecting something not-so-great. I hope that the song gets airplay and becomes a hit for her. I intend to download "Home" when it is released not only in support of La Toya, but to also help a noted charity. I can understand people b*tching about La Toya cashing in, but I think the fact that ALL the proceeds will go to one of Michael Jackson's favorite charities outweighs all that.

Jermaine really is the only Jackson who can sing. Janet is okay--she's really a better dancer. She's still my girl, though. Michael, was an awesome entertainer. He could sing when he was a kid, but by the time he was 21 his voice hit the skids. I enjoyed watching him dance, but hated hearing him sing once he got older--and I was the biggest MJ fan on earth. Of course, that was back in the 70s when he was normal.
