why would ppl who dont like him comment? thats so strange to me. . .like, just dont say anything maybe? personally i dont believe he was ever guilty of any pedophilia charges but I admit that i could be wrong. . .the only ppl who know are michael and the children in question. certainly not myself or any of you. i'm a first year law student who studied the MJ case with my Black Law Students association and we (like the jury) unanimously came to the conclusion that it was a set up. . .theres so much info in the case files that was not covered in the media its insane. in a way i guess its not hard to understand why'd you'd believe he was guilty what with how the press handled it, but I'd think smarter ppl wouldnt allow themselves to be brainwashed especially concerning such a serious charge. if any of you who condemn him as a pedo could come up with one piece of actual evidence presented in the trial I'd respect your oppinions more. . .as it is I know most of you guys base your self righteous belief that he's a pedo on the fact that he came to court in pajamas or that his face is a wreck or that his skin is light. would you have believed the same allegations against a paul newman, or gregory peck? thats so sad. . .its funny the BBC is covering this story so differently than we do in the US, much more objectively. there are so many cynical, self righteous, sadistic monsters, in this country especially (something in u guys that feels better about urselves tearing others down), but I think that if all the MJ 'haters' lined themselves up they'd be pretty surprised to see that they're outnumbered by the supporters many times over. If you havent actually read the court testimony or the settlement papers written in '93 (available on smokinggun.com) i'd take a more nuetral stance. like i said I dont know the truth, i just wonder how you ppl will feel if it ever comes out unequivocally that he was wrongly accused. . .(i mean aside ofcourse the fact that he was cleared of wrong doing in '05) its true what they say about America, the media is not governed by us, we're governed by the media. . .stop reading the national enquirer and do a little research before u condemn someone. sorry for the long post but u 'nancy grace' band wagon types are annoying. u had ur say during his lifetime, he was tormented sadistically, now that he's dead just shut up, really no one wants to hear u. good day :)

p.s. maybe when the 'next big thing' comes around, rather than put him on some godly pedestal only to tear him down maliciously, just dont put him on the pedestal in the first place? just a thought

wow ... I was never a raging fan of MJ but yes, this is talent. And having been through a few rehearsals myself, HellaciousB is correct. You conserve energy with the emphasis on having the choreography/vocals/etc down cold. This frees you to improvise with confidence in show.

I also will probably die ambivalent about whether he was ever a molester. So that leaves me respecting the judicial system, flawed as it is, that determined him not guilty.

So with that said, fare well, Michael Jackson, wherever your essence is tonight.

Question: people always ask "would you let your child sleep in the same bed with a grown man?" Now I don't technically have a child but of course not. I didn't see Jermaine or any other Jackson, but I think that Michael was ashamed of them. He seemed to gravitate towards the more older established celebrities and he handed you a pass if you were European.

During a USO show in 1943 I remember seeing James Brown perform. And all i got to say is that this MJ stole many of his moves.

I'm not sure, but I think he passed away.

All I have to say is that this looks like it would have been good. Go watch any of MJ's dance moves on YouTube and act like you're not blown away. His performances blow any "artist" alive now out of the water and there's no denying it. And rehearsals are for getting the choreography and routine down; they are not indicative of how the performer will perform on any given night. To rehearse full throttle over a period of many weeks would be exhausting. Michael was a pro and I'm sure he would have turned it on when the time came.

Wow, really low energy, no? I mean, in hindsight it looks like he was holding back due to tiredness or something. He probably conserved energy in all his rehearsals, but this looks a little suspicious. And I guess he was going the Britney lip-sync route too. Poor guy.

I completely disagree, that doesn't remind me at all of Britney at the VMAs. Shitney was completely zonked out of her mind and was moving around like a disabled zombie. Though Michael is far from physically attractive in that clip (he really does look like a dancing skeleton due to his weight and skin tone), he can clearly move, and does so quite well (especially given his age and his history of surgeries). He does not have the appearance at all of a drug addict there, he looks like a man full of vitality still capable of pulling off a complete dance routine with skill.

The smile at the end just kills me :-/

The guy looked like he had lead in his shoes. I understand that "They Don't Care About Us" isn't a happy or upbeat song, but the choreography seemed extra slow.
