Janet Honors Her Brother
Here's a clip that will wash off the thin layer of skeeziness left by the grand master of whoring Joe Jackson (see below). Janet didn't walk the red carpet or promote anything, she simply just spoke from the heart before a tribute performance by Ne-Yo and Jamie Foxx (no comment on that one).

"As I said the day MJ died...I will mourn the little boy who didn't have a chance. I will not mourn the crazy pedophile."
No Words....Thank you, that's exactly what I've been saying. The photos of that little boy, just imagining what he had to go through all his life, just breaks my heart.
Janet was clearly upset, but it was very brave of her to make an appearance.
Actually, the performance of "I'll Be There" was touching. I can't stand Jamie Foxx, but I thought the performance was respectful and understated.
I agree with others who have mentioned that Satan is dusting off Joe's chair in Hell as we speak...
El B: ITA. Which was why I felt sorry for Farrah's fam. When you're used to the spotlight, I think you expect to have a public send-off. I would imagine at least a few of them are upset she's been swept under the rug, as warped as that may sound.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"So? I'm intellectual and stuff."
"You're flunking English. That's your mother tongue, and stuff."
I dont get the hate for the performance either. I think they did fine. It was sincere and understated, not offensive at all.
That was really touching.
And good on Jamie Foxx for not making it all about himself, for once.
She not only looked deeply sad, she looked pissed too.
Celebs are a different creature aint they. Coupla days after your brothers/sons death and you're at a poncey, glittery awards show???????
Damn, if it was me, i dont know where i'd be BUT i wouldnt be in my Sunday best farting around in front of the media, baffling, but i spose if you were bought up in the public nuffinks private, sad that thats natural for 'em. :(
ps- as someone else said - Tears for the little kid singing " I'll be there/Ben/Rocking Robin/etc "
Now i've got to lay down after such a long, serious post :o)
Limey Bastard! Learn something about England before you start spouting British stuff!!! - Clarrrrissssee
Janet is the only one in her family keeping it classy.
Joe Jackson is the scariest looking motherfucker I've ever seen in my life. Yes, scarier-looking than Michael.
I know I'm speaking as part of a very small percentage of people (from the looks of it), but I liked this performance.
**********************************************************
"It's not true I had nothing on ~ I had the radio on."
I don't think it was appropriate for any of the Jackson to be there, but that's JUST ME.
Is there a "real" tribute show in the works?
/\
Madolyn: What do you expect coming in here?
Billy Costigan: I have to come here.
Madolyn: I know you have to come here, but now that you're here, what do you want?
Billy Costigan: You want the truth? Valium.
Considering that the powers that be had to cobble this production together last minute, that wasn't such a bad tribute I thought. The piano accompaniment was appropriate for the song and the occasion and Jamie Foxx's singing wasn't half bad. I thought he did a fine job. At least he actually sang ... don't get me started on that joke of a shitty Shitters.
Everthing that happened to MJ and his siblings is completely Joe Jackson's fault. Everything. He's going to burn in his own pit in hell.
If Mama Jackson was standing by his side the whole time, I hope she'll be next to him in Hell as well. She didn't protect the babies she gave life. Unforgivable.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Absolutely, Drama...I hold her just as culpable.
I still feel sad, and that's genuine.
Now all the children can take a sigh of relief and know that "the tooth fairy" won't be trying to climb into bed with them.
Janet loved/loves Michael and it shows. She's clearly upset about his death unlike her father.
Gawd, could Beyawnce be any more annoying? Can't stand her so-called "singing".
I think Jamie has let his success go to his head a bit. He needs to come back down to earth, we don't need another Kanye ego out there.
Never Can Say Goodbye
I think MJ and Janet had a tight bond...she is heartbroken in that clip. Notice how she excluded Joe Jackson when she said "my family wanted to be here but we were too distraught" or some such?
And WTF with Jamie Fucking Foxx? Couldn't they get someone better? Gak!
they prob made her. she was pretty torn up...
Why in the world was Janet all bundled up in sweaters and that enormous white wool coat in JUNE?!?
As one of the most cyncial people around... haha... I am a child of the 80s and am surprised at how much Michael's untimely passing has affected me...
I thought Janet was brave to be seen pubicly but wonder of her motives. She is a self promoting Jackson after all.
Anyway, despite the negative comments her on Jamie Foxx's performance, I felt it was touching, emotional and a sweet tribute to a boy who, as Qunincy Jones, said this week was a victim...
I think she was genuinely in pain at the loss of her brother. She did keep short and sweet.
Is it wrong for a man to have a sugar baby or a woman to have sugar daddy??
It is an absolutely extramarital relationship, but more and more services came out on Internet focusing on this kind of relationship.
such as --- http://www.SugarDaddyChat.com/---
it's the biggest sugar dating site for beautiful woman and rich man!
I'm sorry but from his father and EVEN Janet this whole thing just seems so disengenuous. I feel like news and media are forcing this faux emotion of sadness. It all seems soooo fake!
Janet looks heartbroken, I think her and Michael had a special bond. I wish her the best in these tough times.
Jamie Foxx and Beyonce are 2 of the most self absorbed assholes I have ever seen.
I have to say, Janet did the right thing. Right now with the body and funeral in limbo, the best thing she did was to present herself as a sister and address the audience. I was beginning to wonder where the hell had she been during all of this.
Third test today, Mama Bear. Your eggo is preggo, no doubt about it. --- Rainn Wilson in Juno
Expecting my third in October.
I honestly think MJ death was somewhat similiar to Anna Nicole Smith
actually I think Britney is somewhere near this situation too..
I wont be surprised that in couple of years ( when press moves on and investigation begins ) they will found out he was drugged.
How do you go from looking best in almost a decade to death with few days? From being checked up by the doctors to hit 50 concert halls to cardiac arrest? Jackson familly is weird..almost every familly in hollywood is fucked up at some way or another.. Even if he was what media portrayed him ...noone deserves to be drugged of their mind to end up dead..leaving children around grimpy parents..who have tot buy sleeping bags in targets!
no words....
Nice avie!
She handled it with class. She looked amazing. The music hurt my ears so I had to turn it off. I won't be there to hear that. Bleh.
No matter what I have thought of Michael personally, and continue to think, I have been mindful that he is someone's son, brother, uncle, etc and I think Janet brought that home in her comments. Her father on the other hand....
Why oh why did they use Ne-yo and Jamie Foxx??? Just...why??? Like out of all the talented and real singers out there whom they could have asked they used these two douchebags?? it was sooooooooo uncomfortable watching them "allegedly" sing.
Janet was genuine. Even Aaliyah's brother came out after her death and he did it with style and class. I congratulate Janet Jackson for the way she handled it. Papa Joe on the other hand......plugging your new business venture??? well I guess he is always a business man no matter what is happening around him..
oh Jamie Fox career is a joke
common now? Jamie got good conections and good fan base
every other underrated black actor have to outshine themselves to even try to get into public eye. Its easier for directors to hire actors with huge fan base then the ones WITH TALENT but unknown name.... Will Smith or Jamie Fox....its sad .. Its sad when someone like Jeffrey Wright gets one good role and someone like Jamie Fox who cant act without ending up loooking like pure ghetto trash on tv..that entertaining? nawwww
this is balognaa
LOL did anybody see Beyonce? I swear there has never been anybody more ridiculous than her.
-----------------------------------------------
I totally had to turn it off. From Jamie Foxx's gross "I have no words for how amazing this entertainer is" intro to her over the top shenanigans, it was too much.
If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?
Well, I guess I've joined the cunt brigade, because I'm pretty much done with the dead guy news and stuff. This death just doesn't "get" me like it has others. He was a sad sad man and hopefully he's better off now, but that's about all I've got.
And miss the chance to fame whore it up? NEVER!!!
I do respect what Janet did though. She was there to say thanks for the support and that was it. She didn't sit through the show like Joe did(looking like a pimp i might add).
You can see in her eyes that she is in pain.
I think BET AWARDS should be ashamed of themselves to promoting their show on MJ publicity.
Just like every other star there...pulling a sad face when camera pointing at their face.. You here to mourn someone and remember his life as human being ...NOT TO PROMOTE YOUR SINGING ABILITY ..movie or an album.... ITS DISGUSTING!
I think that was directed at Joe Jackson. They probably saw the the CNN interview and sent Janet to do damage control.
Sorry...they should have done better for MJ there than Ne-Yo and Jamie Foxx...I've always thought Jamie Foxx's music career was a joke.
I couldn't tell if Janet seemed fakey or not...I figured she would be the most broken up out of all of them, I thought she'd go in hiding for awhile...
Joe Jackson scared the hell out of me even before that Jackson 5 movie, and he's even more frightening and skeezy in person.
But Janet and Michael always seemed close with one another; out of all the family they seemed to have an authentic bond with each other and their mother.
