Joe Jackson Is Still Creepy
During an interview with CNN's Don Lemon on the red carpet of the BET Awards last night, Joe Jackson was nervously shuffling around like Amy Wino going through security at the airport. I know Joe Jackson isn't known for being a fluffy teddy bear filled with hugs and kisses, but dude wasn't even pretending to have the sads about his dead son. When Don said that this must be awful for the entire family, Joe said, "It has. The world lost the biggest star." What he meant by that is...."I just lost my favorite cash cow! MOOO!"
While watching this epic display of uncomfortableness, I wondered why Joe Jackson was even there. And then the answer came to me at the 3:20 mark. Joe actually plugged his new production company and some Blu-Ray Discs he's putting out. This is the most awkward infomercial ever!
I'm surprised Joe didn't go all out by saying, "And Michael Jackson will be buried in NIKE sneakers, because NIKE was his favorite brand. Just do it. Yesh, he loved NIKE. Also, my fondest memories of Michael Jackson is when he would call me on Sunday nights to tell me how delicious HOT POCKETS brand paninis are. Michael used to say how tender and flaky on the outside. HOT POCKETS, Michael Jackson's favorite microwaveable treat. Oh and Michael was also looking forward to seeing ICE AGE: DAWN OF THE DINOSAURS which hits theaters this Wednesday, July 1st.........."
Although, I will give Joe a half-clap for matching his eyebrows with his pocket square. I'll give him that.

Well this says it all, doesn't it? No wonder all the surgeries/skin treatment...it's not that he didn't want to be black. He just didn't wanna be his father's son, and having seen this revolting excuse for a parent, who could blame him? I never found his morphing appearance funny. I honestly just saw someone profoundly unhappy with who he was and who he came from.
His younger brother once recounted how their father would hold up Michael up in the air by one leg and beat him with his free hand. MJ himself spoke about how he would vomit upon seeing his father...a grown man with that reaction to his father? That's one traumatized person. Add fame and pressure like most will never know and you have a real recipe for disaster and dysfunction.

People were butchering Mike's songs all over the place) and it was so awkward seeing the camera cutting to Joe and he was sitting there laughing and chillin' like he was at the 12 o clock matinee! Joe Jackson is a festering sore who is too self-centered to acknowledge the part he played in having a wife that hasn't lived with him for decades, children who only speak to him when necessary, and grandchildren and perhaps great-grandchildren that he has had no contact with for most, if not all of their lives. His only associations are people looking to make it big off some dried up old man's imagined connections to the entertainment industry. I wonder if any of his many "outside" children speak to him? Anytime I saw a video of Michael as a little boy, I was always taken by what a charming, sweet and beautiful child he was. He deserved so much better than to have had this abusive piece of shit for a father. I can only imagine how his life might have been different if he had grown up with a dad who had cherished and protected him :(

you k now i was watching the passionate eye last night on cbc, and the one was about mj. and how troubled he was, and it started with his early years and how joe used to abuse them. and in the show they said he wasnt as abused ast the rest cause mj basically said after a while if you hit me again i wont sing ever again, and joe knew that it would be the end of the monies.. so he laid of mj after that...
