Farrah Fawcett And Ryan O'Neal Are Getting Married
Ryan O'Neal and Farrah Fawcett have never been married! I always figured they got married at one point or another. But thanks to my amazing journalistic skills (aka a 3-second search on Wikipedia), I learned that even though they were together for a million years, they never made it legal. Ryan tells Barbara Walters that they have decided to get married after all these years.
Ryan says, "I've asked her to marry me, again, and she's agreed. We will, as soon as she can, say yes. ... Maybe we can just nod her head (Ed note: He's joking...I think). I promise you, we will. ... Absolutely."
Ryan said that Farrah's condition is getting worse and she's fighting for her life. Farrah was diagnosed with cancer in 2006.
I'm giving Ryan a slight side-eye only because I'm not sure what his motives are. There's something about his little eyes. That being said, if this is what Farrah truly wants, then she should do it. It's still bittersweet.

It really doesn't matter if she is in her right mind, her will, I am certain is iron clad and the only reason he is doing that is because he genuinely loves her. I do not think it is for any other reason. He is nuts, but he has been with her through this, and she has wanted him with her.
I am kinda glad they are getting hitched, I hope she doesn't die before they can do the ceremony! : (

I knew a woman who married the father of her baby from his deathbed while he was sick from AIDS in Mexico. She never re-married (that was probably 15 years ago). Sad. Romantic, but sad.

I think he's just as big a shit-bag as his son. This fuck-tard is just riding on the wave of publicity that's accompanying the impending death of a beloved American icon. Farrah was never that great of an actress, but she was the idol of millions of both teenage boys and girls. Every guy jacked off to her poster, and every girl wanted that amazing hair.
Fuck Ryan O'Neal. I'm sure she was no less of an amazing woman BEFORE she got cancer. The fact that Farrah's agreed to marry his lame ass just proves that she's no longer lucid.
I doubt if he's trying to collect her insurance money. He's asked her many times over the years to get married and she's always said no. I find this quite heartbreaking. I knew a couple like this also; he was dying from cancer and they got married on his deathbed, he passed away a few days later. Sad.
*edited to add* he's had his own battle with cancer a few years ago and Farrah was there for him for that even though they had broken up, so maybe I'm naive but I don't see anything suspect in this.

This same thing happened to my sister, she lived with a guy and managed his business for 10 years, he got pancreatic cancer and they got married and he died within three months. She still goes through major bullshit on a daily basis just to manage his estate.
I doubt Farrah is competent enough to enter into marriage. Not if she's as sick as they say.

I watched the special "Farrah's Story" a couple of weeks ago. Heartbreaking. She is a tough gal.

It's like he's trying to rehabilitate the shit life he's led by pretending to be the dutiful lover. Each time he talks about her cancer, it makes me shiver like the comment "nod her head" as if there's some humor in her being debilitated. I don't doubt they've had some sort of odd fucked up relationship over the years that bonds them, but this guy is a fucking creep and if that's who she loves, what does that say? Poor Redmond never had a chance.
