This makes Mady cry, "You're really really mean. You drank it right in front of my face." Kate responds, "Be quiet."

Speaking of, Mady might be slowly shriveling up due to dehydration, but she should think of the poor thirsty beast on Kate's head! You can practically see it licking its chops while Kate drinks.

Exactly.. I have no memory of my mom ever denying me water or food. She was a disciplinarian and made sure I never acted out ever when she took me out.. but she would make sure I was taken care of. Thats what mothers do.

Because if my kids are going hungry or thirsty, you'll know good god damn well that I'll be suffering right next to them and will wait right along side them and tell them "we'll all get a drink when we're done here." Why does everybody say "Mady is a drama queen"? For God's sake, this show is about as realistic as "Full House." Mady fits a role in the storyline. According to Aunt Jody, only the bad footage of Mady makes it on TV.

Well, in Kate's defense, Mady is a little drama diva!! Besides, the kids were just fine when they got on air. Also, I seriously doubt these kids will be messed up when they grow up. Kate is not as bad as she is shown in the series. Yeah, she is obsessive compulsive and anal but she has to be with eight small children. These kids are wonderful and they know their mother and their father love all of them. The best thing they have in their favor is they are very young and by the time the oldest girls hit their teens the cameras will be long gone and the public will have totally forgotten them.

Mady said she hadn't had a drink all day. I don't believe it. I'm sure she had breakfast. As for her just having to have a drink, I've seen enough shows to know that Mady is a drama queen. I didn't see the other kids dieing of thirst. And like someone else said, kids pee, and usually they need to pee at the MOST inconvenient moment. I saw that interview, too, and it was only a few minutes long. I'm sure miss drama queen Mady got a drink right after that, and then probably found something else to whine about.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Kate fan, but she is more patient with her whiner daughter than I would be.
