Glamberace smokes pot! SHOCKING! MIND-BOGGLING! ........And he also likes a giant peen with his morning coffee.
This is the big "NO SHIT" issue of Rolling Stone where Glamberace reveals that he's as gay as....well...as Glamberace. I mean, butterflies flutter into his peen hole! So Glamberace says that he decided to wait to come out, because he felt doing it on the cover of Rolling Stone would be "cooler." Glamberace puckered his precious lips and said, “I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay. Right after the finale, I almost started talking about it to the reporters, but I thought, ‘I’m going to wait for Rolling Stone, that will be cooler.' You can thank some kind of mood-altering drug for leading the glittery unicorn to American Idol. Glamberace said he had a “psychedelic experience” at Burning Man which made him realize that Idol was the quickest way for him to be taken seriously in the music industry.
He didn't want to declare his gayness while competing on Idol, because he wanted the focus to remain on his talent and not the fact that he likes dick. Glammy added, "I'm an entertainer, and who I am and what I do in my personal life is a separate thing. it shouldn't matter. Except it does. It's really confusing."
And there you go. Glamberace is gay. The world keeps spinning. Well, not my world, because I'm still kind of upset that butterflies don't fly into my no-no. Maybe I need to drizzle a little hummingbird juice on it?

Meh. No it's not shocking or surprising, but I really don't give a fuck. I like Adam, I think he's talented, and regardless of whether one agrees with his choice to pronounce himself on the Rolling Stone cover, at least he did it on his terms and wasn't blackmailed by threatening tabloids as was Lance Bass, or 'fessing up to get headlines like Clay Aiken.
It shouldn't matter that he's gay. It's no surprise to anyone with a brain cell. Rolling Stone is not cool. I don't like all of Adam's makeup.

I don't think Adam came out of the closet for attention. He was being asked about his sexuality by everyone. I think he thought it was obvious. I think needing a magazine to declare your homosexuality (and he really didn't need to declare it, I'm pretty sure everyone knew already) is not a step towards making homosexuality "no big deal". Saying you're gay from the get go (like someone else commented--answering "yes" the first time they ask)is making it no big deal. Act like it's nothing if it's really nothing...don't make a huge deal out of it and then tell everyone to treat it as nothing.

Although I do agree with most of what you've posted, thing is, this dude did not come out of the closet because he was brave or any shit like that. He just did it because it would grant him a shitload of positive PR, especially since he COULDN'T deny being a homo once those pictures of him being gayer than gay hit the net.
Regardless, as a gay woman, I do hope this whole "coming out of the closet" shit quickly becomes a thing of the past.

I was never a big Adam fan, or big fan of anyone on the show this year, but I have to really give him credit. He really handled this whole thing very well. He didn't want to hide who he was, obviously, but I also think he didn't want to make a big issue out of it. I think he was focused on what he wanted to achieve. If people didn't make such a big issue about it since the beginning, I don't think he would have felt the need to make a big deal out of it.
Thank god he didn't wait and wait to address it, like Gayken. It's done and let him move on.
Of course, what I found amusing through all this were the people just adamant that he wasn't gay. C'mon now people, you really can't be that blind.
