I kinda feel bad for Richard Gere. He's really endured a lot of crap with that humiliating rumor. You know in 30 years people aren't gonna remember him as the dude from Pretty Woman. We're all gonna be like, "isn't that the dude who stuck a gerbil up his asshole?"

Stoney, at least he handled the rumor with grace. I'm not sure he even denied it either...I don't recall actually reading anything about it in the tabloids in terms of him denying that he did in fact stick a gerbil up the asshole. I'm sure most people have forgotten about it except me because my memory is sharp when it comes to scandal (like most I imagine)...

I remember that story. I think it was 1982. Supposedly he was taken to a hospital and that's how it was discovered and then it leaked by word of mouth, not tabloids, since we didn't have the internetZ yet.
