I think its okay to be different & do your own thing & stuff for the most part, however, I dont understand(that doesnt mean its not okay, it just means I dont understand) why anyone would choose to make themselves look unattractive, she looks fairly hideous on that cover...Marilyn Manson does it for the creepy shock quality, but that is his image & it goes along with his music, so I get that, but with her I simply dont understand...I have to guess that she is sooooo desperate to come off as someone unique & avant garde that she doesnt care if she looks ugly in the process. Plus, I am sure she realizes she will never be a "pretty" girl, so she is aiming for the opposite end of the spectrum. If she is so talented then she should focus on that & stop being so gimmicky.

Kinda sorta...she celebrates the disco era. I like her, really - but she could have been any number of people with the right marketing team. Her voice is average and her moves...unless she's writing this music, which I highly doubt, it really is all about the schtick in the end.

NOBODY is original, pretty much everything is recycled and reused. theres nothing wrong with it, people should look to the past for influences. i remember when amy winehouse came out and everyone praised her for her 'original' and 'unique' style. this isn't any different. its not that unique and not that original, just different than the majority of what people think of when they think of pop.
mutlee, karen o was brought up as someone who, with her band, is doing their own thing without incessantly talking about how different and trailblazing (for lack of a better word, having a blond day) they think they are. no matter who thinks who has an original look, there will always be someone who has seen similar looks before.

But she is talented, driven, and has an interesting artistic vision. She has made her life into her art, so for that I say rock on Bitch!

that's not even possible for somebody's hips/waist to be like that....it looks so unnatural and is definitely photoshopped.
Somebody praised her earlier for not starving herself and getting plastic surgery to fit in in Hollywood.....well she definitely doesn't have plastic surgery i agree with that, she is too busted looking, I can't imagine any surgeon doing that bad..... but even Lady Gaga admitted in a quote in some magazine not too long along when asked how she stayed in shape she said "starving myself. pop stars don't eat" or something weird along those lines.
