Open Post: Hosted By The Song Of The Year
I am pleased to announce that the soundtrack to my funeral has just added a new song: Aqua's "Back to the 80s." It will play right after Adina Howard's "Freak Like Me."
If you have no idea who Aqua is, then I feel sorry for your ears, because they have never experienced truly beautiful music with poignant lyrics. Aqua is best known for that Barbie song, but also in their catalog are such classics as "Doctor Jones" and "Good Morning Sunshine." But I have a feeling that the song they will play when they are inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame next year will be "Back to the 80s." This is the shining diamond in their already illustrious career!
And you're lying to yourself if you don't admit that every thing referenced in this masterpiece of a song could be placed into a shadow box containing everything you've ever loved in life (I'm totally just speaking for myself when I say that).

paris herp.. I didn't go to my masters graduation either. I had enough of those. I only cared about getting my diploma and that was about it.
I remember going to my brother's kinder graduation years ago...seemed unnecesary but then...it was fun seeing him all dressed up at 5 years old.

stoney- I was watching one of the episodes, the one where they go to the eye doctor (and Kate is an impatient bitch) and because they are premies they have more of a possibility of having problems with their eyes going crosseyed, or something. Is that why they look slow? I think, like snowy says, it is just the Korean in them. We'll have to see when they get older to know for sure. I think they will grow out of it.

KD- I don't know, they have ceremonies for every damn thing now, but most schools do a kindergarten graduation and I have heard NOTHING about one at our school.

Yah, the baby is feeling better, weak, still not up to par, but he's asking for food today. Thank GOD.
24 hours of puking and ass pissing. It was not fun. Oh, and the fever that followed. Poor kids got swamp ass. He's been stinking me out of rooms.
I felt like I had an infant again this weekend between the getting puked on, shit on and having him in bed with me. And the laundry! I had to keep washing bedding/clothes/towels. It sucked.
In other news, my oldest got to have a "camp out" with daddy on Sunday night. We set the tent up in our non yard and after dinner used the webber as a fire pit and had s'mores.
That was fun.

The most boring one was @ UChicago for my brother. 3 straight hours of hearing complete strangers' names announced and trying to make conversation with my dad's crackwhore girlfriend. I swore off all graduations after that.

WHy do they have freakin graduation ceremonies for everything? As if I don't sit through enough boring meetings.
That reminds me, I forgot to thank my sister's boyfriend for not inviting me to his graduation. I almost didn't even go to my own.

Kate is so disgusting. She and Jon have probably been having problems for a couple years as her obsession with the show and money kept growing bigger. I guess when he stopped being able to have a conversation with her without her talking about the contracts and the paychecks and the book deal and her hairdo and the magazine articles and matching outfits, he slowly lost it completely.

Snowy- I can totally understand how having 8 kids can change a person, but it is still kind of weird. It seems like overnight, Jon had some sort of mid-life crisis and all of a sudden hated doing the show, and then if she is actually the greedy broad they are saying she is, that is just plain sad and disappointing. And immature. They just both seem really selfish all of a sudden and I don't get it.

I didn't watch the whole show last night, but man, I have seen more eyerolls out of her last night than ever! The whole episode was pretty much her griping about one thing or another. The kids are so funny though. I watch just to hear what funny stuff is going to come out of their mouths. Kids do say the darndest things.

It was horrible. I went to the hotel room with the cops before it had been cleaned up and there were pools of dried blood everywhere. The smell was revolting. The decor of the room wasn't so great either.

paris herpes - I was so busy last week, took Friday off, had a wonderful mental health day, went shopping, treated myself to sushi and went to bed at 6pm. LOL I needed sleep! Which I'm glad I did as I spent Saturday night up all night with a vomitting child.

That reminds me of a murder years ago in the city where I live. This totally passive, gentle guy hd hooked up with this really cruel, ball-breaker of a ladee who was also part-time prosty. He was a carpenter but had a bad drinking problem, as did she, and the two of them lived in the skeeviest hotel in town, boozing it up, 24/7.
Anydrunkenhoo, one night while they downed some terps on the rocks at the bar at La Skeeve, she started taunting him publicly like she always did, denigrating his ummm *manly* skills and then she started rubbing her saggy bits all over all the other men in front of him. Escalando!!
When they got back to their room she kept taunting him and he was potted and just lost it. He opened up his tool box and he whacked, stabbed, chiseled, drilled and hammered her to death. She was like a porcupine, with all kinds of tools sticking out of her(not a euphemism).
The media labeled it the "Handyman Murder" (so original, those journalists)
So, watch your back Kate. Sometimes it's the quiet ones you gotta look out for.
