When A Dirty Mouth Can Get You Into Trouble
If you can't swear during an emergency, when can you? Seriously. Every other word that comes out of my gutter mouth is a "fuck" or "cunt" word, so I can only imagine what I would sound like during a 911 call. The operator would have to wash his ears out with Tidy Bowl and go to confession after he was done with me. When bitches panic, a whole lot of "fucks" tend to come flying out, because they are freaking out! Well, a dumb fuck police officer in Lincoln Park, Michigan doesn't understand this.
When a 17-year-old girl's father, who was at home recovering from brain surgery, had a seizure, she immediately called 911. While the phone was ringing, she said "What the fuck?" I guess 911 starts recording even while the phone is ringing, so the officer heard her curse. His panties got all twisted up and he told her to stop using that kind of language. The girl answered with, "Send me a fucking ambulance!" HA! The cop responded by hanging up on her face!
The girl called a few more times and each time ended with the cop hanging up on her. Yes, the girl kept cursing and threatened to sue him, but the cop also never asked her what the emergency was. He even called her a buffoon. Yeah, what an amazing comeback.
The cop finally called the police department, but made it sound like the girl was the crazy one. While he was doing this, the girl ran a couple of blocks to the police department to get an ambulance. Well, who was there to greet her? Her arch rival, Officer Prudy McPrudester! He arrested her on the spot and booked her for a crime that doesn't even exist.
The girl's father eventually got help and he's recovering at home. The girl and her family got a lawyer and plan to sue the police department.
Obviously, this dude's ears are fragile like fresh spring daisies, so he should probably not be answering 911 calls. All he had to do was tell the girl, "Bitch, calm the fuck down and tell me what the fuck is fucking wrong!" Speak her language! Is that so hard to do?

You know, my experiences with cops (when I'm on either side, altho, I've never been caught for anything really bad)...have always been really good. They've been totally professional, aware, reasonable and direct.
ONCE tho...for a STUPID reason...I was riding my bike the half-block to the street where I could really ride...Now, I'm a "don't-try-this-at-home" rider - I can ride slower than people walk for a long, long time. There were people so I was doing just that...and this woman starts edging towards me as she walks and I'm riding RIGHT on the curb...part of the reason I'm doing that is becuz I'm on an impossibly narrow street that really SHOULD be one way but isn't - there aren't even room for the two lanes of cars, they have to go around each other....so i didn't wanna die, you know?
As she gets closer, I can see her scowling at me...but you know what? I make it. I'm still able to ride around her and stay on the sidewalk but when I get there she screams in my face:
YOU'RE GONNA HURT SOMEONE!
I said: NO, YOU'RE gonna hurt someone, why you pushing me off the road?
She said: I'm a COP, you know!
I said: Well, maybe you could put a little more CIVIL in your SERVICE, nawmsayin'?
...and rode off around the corner! LOL! She was off-duty anyways.

WTF was that shit?! That girl was scared and Sargeant Prima Donna's delicate ears couldn't discern that she was terrified that her dad was dying. Amazing! Then to have the audacity to slap her with misdemeanors like that when she came to the police station to find out who the asshole was so she could tell him off (well that wasn't such a good idea either, but an ambulance was needed). This was a MASSIVE FAIL on the part of the police, pulling rank like that!

When Ledesma walked into the police station a short while later to find out the officer's name so she could file a complaint against him, she was arrested for misusing the 911 system and locked up pending a court hearing.
She had been charged with phone harassment and disturbing the peace, both misdemeanors.
According to police, she repeatedly swore in the lobby of the police station and yelled at McFarland, an officer for 20 years. Once she was arrested, the report says, the teen refused to comply and had to be restrained to a bench.
Police Lt. Brian Hawk, who previously had said he supported McFarland's decision to arrest Ledesma, is overseeing an internal investigation into how the 911 calls were handled.
The city prosecutor said he reviewed the evidence in the case and wasn't satisfied he had enough to prove Ledesma guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
"At this point in time, the city chooses to not prosecute the matter further," Kohlstrand said, adding that charges could be reinstated at any time over the next two years.

I agree, this was my thought when I viewed the report. As angel_1 said, she is young and she was panicked, so I wouldn't be too hard on her, but doing that did not diffuse the situation any. And when you tell a supreme douche/asshole that you're going to sue them, that tends to bring out even more douchie-ness...if this went to trial, a lawyer would probably use this to try to show that the girl wasn't really all that concerned with her father, blah blah blah, but I doubt it will get to trial...if the PD is smart, they'll settle with the family. I think the rule should be to be extra tolerant and liberal minded when dealing with folks who call 911...
Hairicane, the dude was in training to be a cop at the time. I as his neighbor had previously been asked to answer some questions about his character by some dude doing a background check on him. He told me to call the force if I had anything to add, so obviously when I noticed what had been going on with his cat (this whole cat thing is a long story) I called the police and told them I had make a huge mistake answering his background check questions like I had. They seemed genuinely concerned over the phone and had me come in and leave a written statement. Nothing ever came of it ultimately, the guy got the job. But he did come to my boyfriend's restaurant, in uniform, and I fucking bitched him out and told him that I knew what he had done, that he disgusted me, and that he wasn't welcome back. Well instead of arresting me he left with his tail between his legs and never showed his ass back there again.

I was 12 years old and riding the girliest, most glittery bike in the whole neighborhood. I was even wearing overalls!
Anyway, Two cops pulled over and asked me where I was going, what I was doing ETC. I was then given the "you fit the description of someone we're looking for". The cops here have always been a fucking joke, for the 30 ridiculous incidents I see in traffic EVERY DAY, I have never seen a crazy ass driver be pulled over. So much fuckery goes on where people's lives are in immediate danger on the roads, and cops here seem to mostly focus on busting kids for pot.

We lived on a hella corner apartment recently. I vowed after that experience that I would never live in a corner apt or house cuz we were always being woken up the middle of the night, but in this case mostly by crooks who I had to call the police on. The police would come and I'd have to wait to talk to them. Big chunks of my nights were taken out living in that neighborhood - ant it was a "nice" neighborhood. The next place we moved to is a CORNER house (now). We get all kinds of tom phuckery....not as bad, but still, there's some kind of weird vortex about corners, intersections it seems...
It's too bad most cops are such assholes. Some of them can really wear the shit out of their uniforms.
