Who knew Salma was such a socialite? I kind of liked her better before she became apart of the Parisian Fashion Elite. Now she's just another "celebrity married to a blueblood". Gone are the days of Fools Rush In and Frieda. Now she's just some modern day Grace Kelly (without the royal title). It's weird.
Salma comes from a well-off Mexican family...so she is not trash like most Hollywood skanks and assholes...however; she's achieved a lot on her own: going from Mexican soaps to a full crossover (complete with Oscar nomination); her own production company with a hit TV show, marriage to one of the richest men in the world and a cute baby to boot...all power to her if she wants to celebrate it. Even if she did not want a fancy wedding it comes with the territory...I am sure her husband felt obliged to do something for his relations and social set...that is the way it works in those circles...it is almost like a business obligation...what other reason will they have to invite Anna Wintour and some of the other guests? This is just a PR/Networking show. Either way, good for her. Que dios la bendiga!
