Is Desmond A Creepy Lady Molester?
Desmond, Desmond, Desmond! Sit on your damn hands, man! Tickle the hole to ease a little bit of that sexual frustration, damn! I say this, because Desmond from Lost (real person name: Henry Ian Cusick) has been accused of illegally man-handling a former crew member on the show. Chelsea Stone filed a lawsuit against Desmond claiming he sexually harassed (AND SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO TAKE IT!) her on the Lost set in October 2007.
In the lawsuit, Chelsea says Desmond touched her nalgas and caressed her back while making moaning sounds (maybe he had bad Mexican for lunch?). After he finished giving her ass cheeks a little rub down, he straight-up motorboated her. Chelsea says Desmond put his face in between her breasts and "wagged his head back and forth." Um, Desmond, that kind of motorboat isn't going to get you off that island.
Chelsea says Desmond continued to fondle her breasticles and then he kissed her on the mouth.
When Chelsea complained to production, they did dick about the incident. She said that during the next few days, the other employees acted "hostile" towards her. A few days after that, Chelsea was dumped by the show and told to get her shit out of there. She got fired!
Chelsea is asking for an unspecified amount of cash from Desmond, ABC and the production company. She says she got physically sick after suffering "humiliation and severe mental and emotional distress."
Is it wrong that I was a little turned on by the image of Desmond motorboating? Yes, it is. I'm mad that the next time I watch Lost, I won't be able to fight the urge to push my chest bumps together and rub 'em against the screen. That's not right.

I know her claims sound valid with their being so detailed but I know Ian and I know that he is not like this at all. You won't meet a nicer, more polite and respectful man than Ian Cusick. And it's terrible that this sort of thing has to happen to him and his family. These claims are totally false and I cannot wait for her to get what she deserves ... and I don't mean a big cash pay off. She should be sued for defamation of character and slander.

I think you must have a denial of the claim by the Cali Dept of Fair Employment and Housing before you file a suit in state court.

I can't find that anywhere and she can't claim discrimination without a right to sue. She is being that graphic so her suit gets past the initial stages in court. ABC is going to try to throw it out or chop it back in scope, so she's trying to show the judge that she has real, serious claims. Also, I bet the victim's lawyer has been negotiating behind the scenes with ABC to try to settle the case without suit. The lawyer has been hinting to ABC that it can pay her off now and avoid the unwanted exposure of a suit. Either the victim demanded too much bread or ABC thinks it's not responsible.

The thing I find most strange about this situation is that if it happened in October of 2007, why is she just now reporting it? I find that a bit suspicious...
Ugh, this shit sucks. I had a colleague try to grab my breasts, dive at me and ask me if I was going to "fuck him" on the way out of a firm function. It was really bad. The guy (who was a known drunk and had a history of harassing his colleagues) was going after the law school recruits we were entertaining inside the club (which is a HUGE NO NO!! BIG TIME!). He then made the big mistake of trying to grab one of the club girls and had 2 bouncers drag him out. Worried about the exposure and liability (and being the second most senior atty there), I followed the drunk pervert outside to put him in a cab only to have him proposition me and try to physically attack me as stated above. It was gross.
I mentioned it to a fellow associate who reported it to EEO and they actually fired his ass right away, primarily because everyone hated his ass anyway and he had no value. And that kids, is the thing about sexual harassment. They will throw the offender under the bus if no one likes them or there's an underlying desire to get rid of him/her, but beware reporting a favored son. Thats when you'll find YOUR ass out on your ear. Ah, workplace politics. Aint it grand?
Manbearpig: Yes, this is true. But I think that the majority of sexual harassment does go unreported. As does rape and molestation.
Because the people it happens to are in a powerless position in the FIRST PLACE.
I'm sure false reports happen, but it's not like it's a FUN thing to do. And judging from what I've seen and what you've read here, most complaints DON'T get investigated and complainants are NOT believed or taken seriously and get fired.
This reeks of a spurious case of get-me-rich-quick-bullshitas.
It is incredibly easy for a female to claim sexual harassment and the only evidence be her word against his. Imagine, it's that easy for someone to open their mouth and RUIN you whether you are innocent or not. Then again, maybe Desmond is a hot piece who dabbles on the douche side. He sure as fuck deserves the benefit of the doubt for now in a world full of people looking for an easy payday.
