Ya know, I might feel this way if this little mediawhore had not sat down for pictures and an interview with PEOPLE magazine and then went on FAUX NEWS to declare that teen sex was "wrong" and state her desire to be some sort of abstinence advocate and speak to kids at schools around Alaska. (Yeah, because obviously it worked so well for her.)
This is beyond "helping mom" out. This is seeking public attention. Once you do that, you are opening yourself for criticism. Therefore, I have no pity for her. I never thought I would say this, but AT LEAST her self-proclaimed, "fucking redneck" baby-daddy wasn't on the news or smirking at me from the pages of various magazines. And good for him for not marrying her when it is clear that neither of these assholes are ready for marriage.

while i do feel sorry for her, i still think she is a little bit whorey. not to mention incredibly stupid. I did not have sex, and therefore did not get pregnant in highschool. granted they might have used protection and it was just an accident, in which case, meh- i don't really give a shit. most other girls in my school were having sex, but no one got pregnant and i live in a very similar town to Wasilla, full of redneck hicks. but she is 18 and old enough to vote, so she should have some idea of her own politics. While i cannot even begin to imagine what it would have been like to grow up with republican parents, much less Palin FFS, I had my own view on politics at 18. and other 18 yo girls certainly know their mothers are stupid and ignorant (when they are) so I don't think just helping out her mom is a valid excuse.
